Mez Turkish Restaurant & Takeaway — Restaurant in Castle Point

I made an order for a take away, my order arrive 30 min later but unfortunately they forgot My wrap, so I call them about the missing wrap and the lady on phone tell me my order will be with me in 20 mins. 40 mins later still no sign of the delivery the guy, so I call the restaurant again !!! and she gave me the worst excuse ever. 30 mins later the wrap arrive. This is the last time will order from this restaurant. Any other place would have refund me. The wrap was not worth the wait.

Below it my first review of this restaurant, I just realise they created 2 account... , I like to give a chance to local shop but unfortunately this was the last time i ordered from here :

Food is good, the inside of the restaurant is ok, Very friendly staff . The first time I went with my partner to the restaurant the waiter give us the wrong order, the food was good and we didn't want to wait any longer so we kept the wrong order. This little incident didn't stop us to go back as we really enjoy the food. I could have give the restaurant a better rating, but unfortunately I realize the bread they were giving me with my take away was not fresh. By not fresh i mean when you seat in the restaurant they give you soft warm bread with your meal, but when you take away the bread is hard like a rock, this happen few time but I never mention anything because at the end I was not eating the bread when I order my take away. One day I went for another take away and big surprise they gave me fresh bread.... So this is why the bad rating and I haven't been back since. I just don't like this type...

Ordered food and still no sign of it 1 hour and 45 minutes later. Good food but delivery is too slow needs to be open to uber drivers not the store.

Reply- As there isn’t a response feature. Just to clarify that info is incorrect before speaking to yourself I was told twice the food would be with me in 5 minutes and actually took 20 minutes both times so I was lied to by the lady I spoke to. My food was meant to arrive by 19:15 latest nothing was updated on the uber app to say otherwise and I was still chasing at 20:30.i placed the order at 18:30 and I live down the road from the restaurant. I appreciate that the food was offered to be sent regardless after the refund but is pointless at that point as it would be cold. I wouldn’t have felt the need to leave the review if I hadn’t been told over and over it was coming. I actually really enjoy your food so it’s a shame delivery...

Gordon Ramsey would go berserk!! We ordered the Mousakka and it had been frozen which meant that however they had then reheated it left a pool of water in the dish. My cousin had the lamb shish which was really chewy. My auntie had the lamb which looked awful. It was boiled with the skin left on, very weird. Weve been to many turkish restaurants including in Turkey and this was such a disappointment. Also our table was never cleared before they brought out the mains, the girl just tried to move the plates over until we pointed this out to her. When we queried the temperature of the mousakka it was done with disdain and whispers. Most of the family had a bad stomach after. Point blank...
