1st visit to this pub, Whilst I cannot fault the amazing food, Kaylee, Keligh and Josh for being absolute super star membes of staff, it is great regret that after spending almost £300 in food and drink to be treated with upmost disrespect from "DxxxD". Not sure if a manager or what, but this person all night had a face of thunder and very little professionalism or even manners all night. A member of staff who clearly was jealous or envious at the attention being given to his colleagues and clientèle. Not Only barring me and threatening police, but clear unprofessional behaviour by shouting at me earlier from behind the bar for swearing in convo (funny ha ha type convo with Josh.). During the evening speaking to staff, buying them drinks, having a laugh, treating everyone with respect.yes I was loud, but friendly and having engaging conversation etc. I got penalised by this utter idiot member of staff. . Refusing to serve myself or my 2 other friends after their own staff smashed their own glass. "He was heard saying he wasn't going to serve us anymore" . I wasn't aware at this point at aprox 10pm. 11pm - He deliberately avoided serving me, served 4 other women then completely embarrassing me with the standard " Think you've had too much not serving you".

A) I was not slurring, B) I was in full controlled of my actions, C) I was not abusive and or disrespectfull to anyone other than that of "Dxxxd" who at that point was being a complete noob. Oh and D) Yes im loud - im also hearing impaired hence the loudness. ( Not that "Dxxxd would know, he didn't even have the curtousy or professionalism to even discuss. His attitude and behaviour sucked and ruined a perfectly pleasant night and expensive one at that! This is NOT the kind of customer service one expects from a bar ! Enough said atm. The Owner will be contacted and complaint raised. Disgusting behaviour and attitude. When questioning him, he avoided walked off and didn't like the fact I clearly knew what I was talking about. I tried to ring the pub to find out if there were any spaces to eat. 2 times and both just kept ringing for a few minutes. Normally that is the.. we are busy sign. We were passing though and decided to give it a go anyway. The pub was busy on the outside tables but the inside was basically empty. I fail to see how a phone can go unanswered when it seems to be this quiet.

Ordered through Greene King app and drinks were at our table in minutes which was a great start. I asked for a jug of tap water so we can take water as we like and I was told they don't have any jugs and instead brought over a glass, which would have been fine if later on during our time there, there wasn't a jug of liquid on the bar ready to go out. I can understand if it is a pitcher and there are not a lot of jugs considering that's the money maker however I would prefer to be told straight instead of being lied to.

Starters took about 20 minutes to come which wasn't too bad. However when we asked for some smaller side plates to share the platter between 4 people we we were told they didn't any they could give us as they were not washed yet. The pub is at about half its potential capacity, how can it run out of plates already? What made it even more ridiculous was that the hunters chicken, which one of my group ordered, came with the chicken in its own little bowl to the peas and chips. You can imagine how ridiculous it is when you tell customers plates aren't washed yet and you serve food on more plates than it requires. If you are aiming for style at least get functional...

My friend and I stopped on a hot lunchtime for a drink and snack before hobbling home. She on crutches me with walking stick. Ordered drinks and two mains from the Senior Menu of Starter and Main or Main and Dessert. I must admit I forgot to order dessert but then the barman never asked if I wanted dessert. After a very senior senior portion meal, I went back to bar to order our dessert, only to be told I couldn’t have them unless I pad in excess of £8 !! Why I asked when I’d paid £6,95 each for Main & Dessert.? ‘’ you should have ordered at the time of ordering your mains’m I was told but I didn’t know that and the barman never told me. He obviously wasn’t going to let us have a dessert, so we left feeling short changed. We WILL NOT be visiting again but please Zach if you have an offer like this maybe advise your customer with …’would you like a starter OR a dessert with...
