Service was slapdash at best, probably better described as dismissive. When ordering food and drink you have to pay separately via two different credit card devices as they are 'separate businesses'. I chose sausage and mash, described on the menu as 'three sausages' and I only got two. My wife chose the Boat Inn Burger and didn't get the three onion rings detailed on the menu. We had to ask twice for sauces and they only had two teeny sachets of vinegar in the building apparently. Or they just couldn't be bothered getting more. They never came over and asked if everything was OK and when my wife went to order the woman behind the bar carried on her phone conversation for some time before hanging up and didn't apologise or once acknowledge she knew she was waiting. On top of that, the manager came in wailing about the fact we'd parked in her space. There are no signs on the space we were in - it was next to it. Needless to say we didn't bother complaining about the missing food as it would no doubt fall on deaf ears. Shame as its a nice location and the food was...

Not sure if the arrogant so and so was a manager, the owner or just a miserable member of staff, but the people in front of me got a friendly goodbye, I got a dirty look. I didn't have any food, didn't finish my drink and left, but wouldn't risk it after my experience. This isn't and isolated incident, my friends went back there after work on Friday to give it a second go, I received a video of a pint with bits in it! It's a shame as this is on a lovely location on the canal. I would never step foot in this place again,...

Sat outside right by the canal in glorious early afternoon sun sunshine , having ordered a couple of baguettes which were very tasty. The beer and wine were very reasonably priced. Well worth a visit. Will be back again soon. Important Edit to this review. If you visit make sure you give car registration at bar otherwise you will get a parking ticket. We were not aware of this and to be honest would have expected landlord or landlady to just mention it as we made it clear we hadn't been...
