Big Pizza fan but unfortunately never got around to trying their Pizzas until now. Big regret as they were absolutely amazing, very reasonably priced too.
The taste of the Pizza is not from this country, they do not use the standard UK kitchen pizza ovens, I'm not an expert but looked like a huge wood fired oven so from the moment you walk in the smell almosts make you want your pizza there and then.
Pizzas are a very good size? Perfect Italian tasting pizza, not shy with their portions or ingredients. The dips are so fresh and so tasty also, go hand in hand with the pizza.
Clean, comfy, very high standards in my opinion, cool staff and outstanding Pizza. Highly recommend. We will definitely be back.
EDIT we have been back a few times since. Standard seems to have dropped ever so slightly, lack of salt last 2 times we visited. Unfortunately they loose a star as now charge for a tiny pot of permesan £2.50, so alioli, pesto dip and paremesan came to £6.50, which cost more than out starter. Never actually been charged for parmesan, nothing about this on the menu, think it spoils a place when you are charged for something which is normally free and also the fact that on the bill was put as alioli dip. He did state that he would charge us that before had but hardly going to refuse and spoil our meal. Just left feeling disappointed as we started going there weekly to fortnightly. The world is struggling which is understandable but if you have to maybe charge...
Read moreI've been here countless times and I think I can accurately say it's one of the nicest places in Loughborough to eat out.
I usually try to justify my rating based on quality of food, service and price. 5 stars means I am very satisfied with my overall experience and 1 means I am completely disappointed.
Food - the place offers a small but dynamic menu that features, you guessed it, sourdough based pizza. They stick to simple and traditional ingredients and I can definitely say it's delicious. The sauce and the toppings, although not exotic, are a true representation of a traditional pizza. If you want 10 crazy toppings and 15 choices for the base, look elsewhere, this is not what this place is about. Starters mostly feature some cold cuts, olives, salads, mozzarella, all fresh and pretty good. Desserts are also quite nice, especially love the pistachio ice cream which I totally recommend. Also you can add any toppings to your pizza and there is something for everyone. Overall the food is really good if you want a piece of Italy and traditional pizza
Service - really pleasant, laid back, friendly and accommodating, nothing much to add, just good.
Price - quite affordable, with their queen Margherita priced at around 6-6,50 and most pizzas being more than £10, it's not going to make you rob a bank.
Overall it's a lovely place with very quirky decor and great food, just don't expect it to be what it's not and you'll have...
Read moreIt gets 2 stars just because I like the taste. But what happened today just triggered me in a really bad way. We usually call to order, but today I used their click & collect service from their website to order 2 pizzas from work and collect them on my way home. Ordered, no issues, told me I would receive a text confirming the order. After 10 minutes and no text, I decided to give them a call before leaving work to collect them. They finally answered the 4th time I called. Told them I just want to confirm they got my order, only to be amazed by the lady telling me they are closed today, they have changed their working hours and now operate Wed-Sun because of the pandemic. I told her their website and Google stated differently just to receive a plain answer that they haven't updated the times yet. Yes, they will probably refund me, but definitely not tonight. So here I am, hungry, with my paid pizzas and no pizzas. Just a heads up to Peter Pizzeria to be mindful of people who maybe spend their few/ last allowance money on a good pizza and are disappointed and left with no...
