Coach & Horses — Restaurant in Charnwood

Came in the pub right before closing time (which I wasn’t aware of) because I had stood in dog poo right at the front door and wanted to clean my shoe. I brought my drink in from the Crown pub because I wasn’t staying there I just wanted to clean my shoe, as I stood in it on the pub grounds. Pub owner approached my friend (who was waiting outside the toilet cubicle) with extreme hostility asking who’s drink it was, swearing at her and when I said it was mine she questioned where we lived ( not sure how that’s relevant) and said we came in and were rude to her bar staff?? When I literally came in and went straight to the toilet, didn’t go anywhere near the bar. Have come here loads before and all the other bar staff have been lovely and service has been great, but I’ll never step foot in there again after this experience. absolutely disgusting way to treat people, no idea how the pub is still in business if that’s who runs it. Called in Wednesday 28 th June evening time and could not get any bar service , asked the Bar lad four times still refused to serve and attended his mates or locals first , just pig ignorant , told staff I will go to a proper Pub and went to the Crown just up the road , friendly polite staff and served with a smile .

Overall a pretty dirty venue. There's only music on when money is put in the jukebox. The toilets are always filthy, for some reason customers are bringing in fish and chips to eat so the bar smells like a chippy and while a girl was serving me she was literally still chewing on...
