I have been eating at this restaurant for 10 years, but I will never return again. The food served up last night, was covered in grease, no sauce on the dish and it was cold. The service was awful and we had to wait 20 minutes for our bill. When we tried to discuss that we were not happy with the food, the situation did not get resolved in a quick and efficient way. This is very disappointing, as we have been loyal customers for 10 years. The food and service used to be brilliant, but this is not the case now. I appreciate that things can go wrong, but how I was treated last night when I unhappy with my food was awful. This was a very disappointing meal and I will never return. Most of the staff have changed and there is definitely a new chef. The old chef would not serve up the cold greasy food that was served to us last night. The management team are not approachable if you are not happy with the food, and were quite intimidating. What is really concerning is that all the customers are placed very closely together, and nobody is wearing masks. We did not feel very safe and comfortable in the restaurant, considering the Covid-19 risk is still present. Our 5 year old daughter did not enjoy her visit and it is not child friendly. What a shame that such a lovely place is now the worst curry house in...
Read moreShockingly bad!! I did not brought the food but a dear friend got take away from here.
Firstly, itâs Bangladeshi chefs cooking Indian food so itâs misleading when they named themselves â Passage to Indiaâ.
They got the order wrong but all the dishes we got, chicken korma, paneer curry was overloaded with sugar.
It tasted so sweet that you wouldnât require dessert.
Anyone who is diabetic will surely pass out eating the curries.
Also, lots of artificial colour used. Itâs looked pathetic.
The catch is if the curries have colour and taste to sweet, itâs not Indian food but prepared by unskilled chefs and is Bangladeshi food.
All the good reviews here looks like they are paid as I fail to believe that people could have such bad taste.
Do your self a favour! Avoid this place, shell out a little more and go somewhere authentic Indian or may be buy curries from supermarket if you run out of options.
I will be committing unforgivable sin if I recommend...
Read moreWent for an all you could eat buffet last night for my dads 82nd birthday, there were 11 of us in total, to say it was rubbish is an understatement! the buffet was Manley made up of starters, the 2 mains were chicken tikka masala which was far to sweet and the chicken was hard; the other main was some kind of tasteless mushroom curry. At £12 per head it was disgusting! I have been for a sit down meal before and they used to bring you a complementary shot with your bill but even that wasn't offered even though our Bill came to £200.00 and I complained about the food it all fell on deaf ears. Passage to India has definitely gone down hill, 4 of us were up all night back and forth to the toilet too. we will not be returning to this...
