The Bay Tree Cafe — Restaurant in Charnwood

We love this cafe, especially my Mum who lives in Syston, and despite mobility issues, she likes to be taken there as much as possible. The food and service are fantastic. The only two issues we have are temperature and toilet facilities. Both are fine for younger people, but for the majority of its customers - elderly people - I find it strange that their only toilet is up a flight of stairs that are too much for any one with mobility problems ...there is no alternative or lift. Also, the cafe is often on the cool side - I have no idea what could be done to warm the place up, but given how busy it is, surely they could do something....? It's a shame to have to write anything negative as, as stated, this cafe is...

Been to this cafe every so often since it was Ray’s Tray way back when. Must say I found it rather pricey and some of the staff were a bit monotone. Perhaps to be expected in a job where customers complain about every little thing. Atmosphere isn’t the worst, sometimes a bit quiet and feel almost out of place when I’m there. That’s just me though. Decor is nice and the booths are a nice added touch. In a handy location in the precinct too. Food can be nice, depends what you get. Breakfast, lunch and main meals...

I went into the Bay Tree this morning for breakfast, I have been before & always enjoyed it.. When I received my breakfast all looked lovely, thought the sausage didnt look very well done. But continued with my breakfast, started to eat my sausage was pink inside not cooked properly quietly told the girl clearing the plates said I didnt want a replacement.. No one came over no apology, wont be going back wasnt a cheap...
