A Hidden Gem â Perfect for Families & Everyone is Welcome!
We visited The Earl of Stamford for the first time last night, and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. From the moment we arrived, the staff couldnât have been more welcoming and accommodating. We had children with us as well as a guest in a wheelchair, and they made sure we were all comfortable, finding us a spacious table with easy access. Itâs so refreshing to find a place that truly caters to everyone.
The menu is outstanding, offering a great mix of traditional pub favorites and authentic Indian dishes. We decided to try a bit of everythingâsome curries, a tandoori dish, and a twist on a classic burger for the kids. Every dish was full of flavor, clearly made with fresh ingredients, and the portions were generous. Even the kidsâ meals were well thought out and delicious, which can be rare!
The atmosphere was warm and family-friendly, and the staff were incredibly polite and attentive throughout the meal. Itâs rare to find a place that balances great food, excellent service, and an inclusive, welcoming environment so well. Whether youâre looking for a casual pint, a family meal, or a special occasion spot, The Earl of Stamford is a must-visit. Weâll definitely...
Read moreFrom the very beginning, Sach and Amar were genuinely invested in making our wedding dinner something truly special. Their attention to detail and personal approach really set them apart. They took the time to sit down with us, talk through menu options, and even arranged a taster session, it was then that we knew this was the place we wanted to host our guests.
In the days leading up to the wedding, Amar personally walked us through all the logistics, making sure everything was planned to run smoothly⊠he delivered exactly that on the day! The staff were fantastic - friendly, professional, and extremely accommodating throughout the event.
They catered for around 90 guests and handled it flawlessly. There were no long queues, the buffet was consistently replenished with fresh food, and everything ran seamlessly.
Our guests were thoroughly impressed. Many have since commented on how much they enjoyed the dinner, with some even saying theyâll be back for the Kenyan Night!
If youâre considering a venue for a large event or even a meal with family/friends, we couldnât recommend Earl of Stamford enough. They went above and beyond for us.
Thank you, Sach, Amar and the rest of the team, for helping to make our day so...
Read moreMe & hubby tried the restaurant in The Stamford Arms on Good Friday. We were very impressed with the new decor & cosy lights. The staff were very friendly & efficient. We had dips & poppadoms to start which came with what looked & tasted like crisp puffs. The poppadom we had was really nice with spices in it but expected to be given 1 each & not shaped puffs , that would be my only criticism . For main I had a chicken makhani & hubby had chicken jalfrezi which was full of peppers & tomato, both were very tasty though hubby would have liked it a little more spice hot. The chicken melted & portions were good. We had pilau rice & a garic & plain naan & really enjoyed them. Naans were perfect & the rice full of favour & fluffy. Also the Shiraz wine served was really good! We will definitely go back to try more dishes. Highly recommend giving their dishes a try , definitely a different style & flavour to your normal curry house. Thankyou...
