Was greeted by friendly and accommodating staff, well cared for ale, and delicious food - which was specially made (ie. not a stock item to be re-heated) - and they were accommodating about swapping certain items on the menu for others. I’ve traveled around all the pubs in Leicester and the surrounding villages, rating the cobs as I go along. These cobs are by far the best I’ve had. This Pub re-opened in 2024 after a period of closure, it is now under the same very experienced management as the White Horse down the lane. Dropped a star as I feel the selection of cask ales could be better, otherwise an excellent traditional proper village pub where you can take your dog. Note it's a pub not a restaurant, therefore the only food available are cobs...
