Pink Garlic — Restaurant in Chelmsford

I usually drive to get a Indian take away from Mayland, but thought I’d retry pink garlic. Had the chicken tikka Balti jalfrazi, chicken tikka massala, plain rice, garlic naan, sag paneer.

My thoughts are:

The chicken was fresh tasting and soft. So many Indians in Woodham are dry and reheated. So plus points there!!

Overall, dishes were tasty. However, left me feeling groggy in the morning, so have a feeling the dishes have msg and/or other rubbish in them.

Why, is a tikka massala and the chicken bright red? I have no idea why they do this. Food colouring I think. There is no need for it.

People nowadays are more conscious on what they are eating, so move with times, be fresh and clean, and you will get more business!!

Made a large order for 6 people for delivery.. Ordering easy online (make sure you have PayPal!! I don't and would never use it so someone else had too!) Delivery was slightly over 45 mins but it was a big order..We got extra poppadoms and servings were large..tasted excellent too so really no complaints from us all! Only one, hence the 4 star..one meal had way too much veg in and not enough meat..chicken korai? All in all would we order...

This is by far the worst Indian takeaway I've ever encountered. I'm not sure what the bilge they sent was, maybe mashed chickpeas with chicken chucked in, not sure. I ordered a chicken tikka jalfrezi and the wife a chicken balti. What turned up was two lots of the same garbage, the jalf having a chilli thrown in for good measure. The whole lot went in the bin and I cooked instead. Thanks for taking £40 from me for that...
