Prezzo as a chain usually provides great food & service. However, myself and my girlfriends family went for dinner as a birthday celebration for 2 people. Upon arrival the restaurant was not busy at all but yet it took 5 minutes to be seated at our booked table. We were then sitting at the table for another 53 minutes before we were even asked what drinks we would like! As the service was slow we chose to order drinks & food at the same time. Another 20 minutes had passed and we still hadn't received our drinks, they were sat on the side of the bar slowly getting flat. Once we had finally got our drinks, our starters arrived. We specifically asked for any meat and vegetarian items to be separate but the flat breads were piled and mixed with the meats meaning none of our vegetarians could eat the starter. We could not complain about this as the waitress did not come and check on us. Before we had even finished these starters our mains were thrusted upon us. Now the mains! 3 of us had pizzas which were harder than nails and could not even cut it with a knife (don't get me started on the forest of rocket piled all over the pizzas). I had a burger, which quite honestly was horrible. It was dry and had no sauce on it and came with a side of cold fries. The only acceptable dish on the table was a basic carbonara which was only fairly average. At the end of the meal we waited so long to receive our bill we had to stand up and go and pay at the bar, where the waitress printed off a bill that included the prosecco which was supposedly "FREE" for a birthday! All in all the service was absolutely shocking leaving us waiting around for ages with elderly family members, nobody checked on us all night and they were rude while serving. And the food matched the service! Currently in the process of trying to get a refund but the restaurant are not answering calls and there is no way...
Read moreI recently came to prezzo as they had a 99p offer on main meals. It was immediately made clear to us that they were understaffed and they were struggling with the amount of customers, although you had to prebook to participate in the offer, so overall felt very unprepared. When ordering, I had to make a modification for a specific dietary requirement, as I cannot eat cheese, and was ridiculed by my server. Whilst this was funny at first, I started to become upset as we heard him discussing and laughing at the bar with other colleagues, one of which later brought our drinks, and also made fun of this.
The service was very slow, and we waited over 40 minutes before receiving food. Our starter also came at the same time as our mains, even though they had asked if we wanted them separately. Although this is a small issue, it overall showed the lack of care throughout the service. The staff were also dismissive to other requests, and to issues from other nearby tables.
The food was very disappointing. My pizza was very dry, and although this could be potentially attributed to the lack of cheese, my friend also had the same issue after ordering the pizza as it came. Due to the previous interactions, I felt too embarrassed to potentially complain, and was just left very disappointed overall. The bill also took a very long time to arrive, and we were very keen to leave. While the pizza was only 99p, I would not go back, as it was not even worth the significant discount . I would not recommend the food, and the service did not create an atmosphere that was in line with appropriate dining. If a branch can not appropriately staff and deal with dietary requirements, they should opt out of promotions that will cause issues for them. If i could give the experience zero stars I...
Read moreI recently went there with my family and it was awful. We ordered three pizzas and a children's meal and waited 45mins before asking (not being told by the servers in the first place) and finding out that our pizzas had been burnt and will be another 7mins for the new one to bake. When we were finally served with the pizzas, we noticed that my daughter, who has a slight milk allergy, was given a pizza with mozzarella instead of goats cheese and there were no olives, which we ordered extra. We asked the waiter and she claimed that it was supposed to be mozzarella and goats cheese however, there was clearly no goats cheese at all. Apart from this, the side salads tasted very old and the pizzas were not as good as we were hoping. Once we payed and left, we realised that my other daughter, who was supposed to have the children's meal, was not served desert. We came back and asked for it and received it in a take-away box. This was probably the only part of all of our meals which we were pleased with as it was very tasty. We were very disappointed, not specifically because of the long wait, but because of the way we were treated; we were not told and had to ask what happened with the pizzas, and were also served by 3 different waiters, which resulted in a lack of organisation. Comparing this to the amazing experience we had previously had, when we hosted part of my daughters birthday party there, this was not what we were expecting. Hopefully, it was just an unlucky day for the cooks and other people will be happy with...
