Neptune's Fountain is what it says: Cheltenham's version of Rome's Trevi Fountain or the one at Versailles. It is a big stone thing that squirts water. It is also a Pókemon gym and a geo cache site, so it serves a few purposes.

Now unless you have a real thing for fountains you would not go out of your way to see it: but the beauty of it is you don't have to. And compared with Sandford Park fountain or the one at Boot's corner it is actually worth seeing.

I have a friend called Steve who back in '94 was staggering home drunk in the early hours of Christmas morning and found the arm and trident. He took it to the police, who took him in for questioning. Luckily CCTV proved his innocence and the statue was repaired.

It is as central Cheltenham as you get (though the historic Centre Stone is on a building on the junction of High Street and...

Walking through Cheltenham today. Looking at life. Reflecting upon the state of social societies attitude. The memorial. Lest we forget. I tend to have come to the truth. Those who fought. Died. Lived in poverty to raise children being adults today. Have truly forget those whose lives are wasted for lives today that are stubborn not to make progress in the world. Focused on greed, contempt for others lives, not thinking about footsteps creating a society of animosity, greed, destruction. But. There you go. I gave my analysis also in the same mind as Jonathan Haidt whos book. Anxious society...

A very nice fountain about the coronation right in the heart of Cheltenham City Centre. It does get busy at times as it is a massive tourist attraction along with The House Of Ferrets next to it and all the other coronation stuff but I would definitely recommend you go and see it if you are interested in water features and stuff. I have also heard that people go all the way to Cheltenham on the train from Evesham just to see this though. I do love Cheltenham City anyway so I probably love it...

It is a lovely fountain and I can imagine it might be a nice place to sit and take in but it is hard to rate this location because as a standalone experience it is just a beautiful fountain. I would have given it lower than 3 stars but I gave it 3 stars due to the fact it is part of an accumulation of sightseeing locations that come together as an aesthetic experience. Definitely go see it and other places, like some of the architecture while maybe doing some shopping.
