The Meadow Café — Restaurant in Cheltenham

I’ve been coming to this little gem for years, and it continues to impress me every single day.

The staff are genuinely lovely — warm, welcoming, and attentive. Even though they see me almost daily, their service never falters. There’s no complacency here; they take pride in what they do, and it shows.

The coffee is always excellent, and the food is consistently spot-on. While the menu is simple, it’s clear that everything is done with care and intention. They know their strengths, and they stick to them — delivering quality time after time.

You also have to consider the limited space they’re working with, and for that, the range and thoughtfulness of the menu is really impressive. There’s something for everyone, and it’s always fresh and satisfying.

They truly deliver on all fronts — great coffee, great food, lovely people. It’s the best part of my day, and I couldn’t recommend it...

I love this cafe and have done since it opened, but today something happened that compelled me to write a public comment.

They were busy, it’s beautiful sunshine, que out of the door; the kind of thing that’s nice to see after all this lockdown pain small business have gone through. Anyway, my food took a bit longer to come than it might usually, To me no big deal I’m having a lovely time, but unprompted the owner comes out, asks me what I’m drinking and sends another drink out because she isn’t happy with how long I waited.

Edit: went back today and the food and coffee was all lovely, especially the sausage rolls. Was just a bad morning all round for the original review. Moved up to 4 stars!

Original: Staff really struggled with a handful of tables, I think 12 people or so sat down within a few minutes of each other, for the three staff members. They took 20mins for our two coffees and prepackage porridge Unfortunately the coffee was burnt and the milk scolding hot.
