Terribly expensive bakery with pastries and breads dispensed from what looks like a converted sea container. Overheads must be substantially lower than if they were operating in Town but not reflected in the prices. Yes, the products are superior to the mass produced supermarket junk but out of reach of most Anglo Saxon swineherds. The media hype around the French name will appeal to those who speak French and drink French wine. Amazing to get a response from the "Owner" that "we have no taste". This is the kind of brute faced response one gets today in the UK. We were not solely commenting about the bakery products, solely the PRICE, having suggested the products are SUPERIOR. In France such establishments would be stunned at negative comments and go out of their way to invite disappointed clients back for a coffee and a constructive...

I’ve been a big fan of this place for a long time. The quality of the bread in particular is absolutely outstanding in recent times however the quality of the pastries has been lacking not in terms of the bake but in terms of the amount of filling that you get. The pain suisse I bought today for example doesn’t have any filling in it. It’s barely anything there and when you’re paying £3 a pop you’d expect them to fill it stuff it full of good stuff. I’m not sure if this is cost saving or just a change in bakers. I really like to support local business and will certainly keep going for those baguettes but please get back to being generous again on the pastries and the fillings...

I am French and I can tell you this is an excellent boulangerie and it deserves easily 5 stars and more but !!! This is the third times I am given stale baguettes ( out of maybe 40 buy ) . I can’t understand why you would do such thing. Dry and crumb your old bread to make other products ! I would even buy bags of bread crumbs for cooking. I am writing this review because your products are actually of the highest quality but this stale issue is not right . I am always recommending your baguette. As good as any top boulangerie in France. This will not deter me to come back because you have the best bread in town but...

Mon dieu! What a find! In the middle of an industrial estate on the outskirts of Cheltenham sits the most authentic French bakery you can imagine. This Sunday morning it was buzzing with friendly hungry customers waiting for their daily bread (and cake). My glutenless lemon and poppyseed cake was divine – and my partner’s almond pain au chocolat looked heavenly. The lack of choice for the gluten-free among us was my only disappointment because everything looked trés delicieux.

Stunning sourdough bread and pastries. I’ve loved everything I’ve bought from here - I’m particularly addicted to the almond croissants. It’s well worth the price and long wait in the cold. You can always have a hot coffee while you’re waiting, if you like. You will not be able to buy the quality of these products in supermarkets - there is just no comparison. A lovely treat.
