I recently stopped by Esquires Coffee in Bicester, and it’s quickly become my top pick for a cozy spot in town. From the moment I stepped in, I was greeted with warm smiles and a relaxed, welcoming vibe. The interior is modern yet comfortable, making it perfect whether you want to catch up with friends or just enjoy some quality time alone.

I decided to try their Full English Breakfast, and I was not disappointed! The portion size was generous, and everything was cooked to perfection. The bacon was crispy, the sausages were flavorful, and the eggs were just right. It came with toast, beans, and a side of mushrooms, making it a complete, hearty meal that kept me full well into the afternoon. To top it off, I paired it with one of their expertly brewed lattes, which was rich, smooth, and the ideal complement to the breakfast.

What truly makes Esquires stand out, though, is the staff and service. They were attentive and genuinely seemed to care that I had a great experience. For anyone looking for a spot with excellent food, great coffee, and a welcoming atmosphere in Bicester, Esquires Coffee is a must-visit. I’ll definitely be back to try more...

UPDATE: It seems customer service and quality is beginning to decline (as it did in the now-closed Cyprus Coffee in the town centre). I bought two cappuccinos and both were almost cold. When I told the person who made the capps, he was unhappy about it and started mumbling about how experienced he was and that the coffee was the right temperature. While I was buying the capps, a member of staff interrupted the one who was taking my order and started to loudly complain about how things were not organised behind the counter. I don't want to see or hear this. Coffee is not cheap and I expect a pleasant environment and a quality product.

PREVIOUS: Esquires sells Organic & Fairtrade produce. At the time of writing this review, Esquires is situated in an area that is under development so not the best setting. However, the shop looks very nice internally, the service is great, the staff are pleasant, the coffee is about 8/10 and the food 10/10 (we ate a smoked salmon bagel and a sausage bap). Prices...

Every visit gets worse and worse! This is our third visit as a family, and each time we've come, the food and service has got worse and worse.

Today, we ordered a variety of brunch items, and every single one was bad. The ultimate breakfast pancakes were very small and sad looking - a freezing cold poached egg, and fatty, burnt bacon. The Full English was also pretty sad looking, everything burnt - but cold! Both kids breakfasts were bad - also served in what the kids called 'a dog bowl'.

The fact you get served your food, without any cutlery... and then have to sit, waiting for one of the staff to remember to bring you knives and forks. You also need to get your own hot drinks... which is odd when you've ordered food as well.

The only saving grace, is the coffee is really nice. Expensive, but nice.

We spent £42 on brunch for a family of 4, and it felt like an absolute rip off. I'm afraid that we won't be coming back here again - should have gone to Torino...

I have been a few times and things seems to be getting worse. Whilst the coffee is pretty good, the full breakfast was pretty inedible. I guess I should have known when they said I couldn’t have fried eggs. Hash browns were cold, sausages shrivelled, etc My visit today was pretty dire. The tables were, in general, not tidied after customers had finished. The wait for drinks was unacceptable, 10 minutes waiting for a flat white is a new experience to me. In summary, the layout is nice, the opportunity huge, but there needs to be a serious training program undertaken. Something along the lines of PAL’s Sudden Service.

This is a lovely spacious venue. We had a company brunch for 22 people and the food was really good. The food didn't all come out at the same time but we are pretty used to that as a large group (it was all freshly made for us and hadn't been sitting around staying warm). The managers were so nice and went out of their way to meet all our demands. Would love to go back but we live in London. If I'm ever passing by I'll definitely pop in.

Favorite coffee shop!! The vibes are amazing and the matcha tastes better than any other that I’ve ever had in Europe. The coffee also has a deep and rich taste that complements all of their delicious breakfast and lunch options (and gorgeous pastries!) Perfect for anyone looking for a consistent third place or just a casual cafe to hang out near Bicester Village.
