Astonishingly, amazingly bad for parties, in my opinion. I cannot over-emphasise how little I ever want to return there, and how much I regret having taken my children there for a birthday party. Staff were, from my perspective, extremely rude and aggressive, and I felt that they deliberately lied to us as well.
The kids had a good time, but that's the end of the positive experience.
The process didn't start well - my understanding, after talking to my wife about this, is that when we booked on the website, we never even got a booking confirmation, and had to phone them to double check.
Just a few days before we were due to go, we had phone call that explained that they'd made a mistake and would charge us £2 per head more that originally quoted. Obviously, we complained about it, and they backed down. None of this is really relevant compared to how amazingly bad they were on the day itself.
When we arrived, we weren't welcomed in the way I would have expected or really given much in the way of explanation or instructions - we were just waved up to the cafe and left alone. Eventually someone came and took all the kids, so we sat in the cafe and got drinks and pizza for the grown ups. The service seemed slow and unfriendly to me. After spending well in excess of £50 in the cafeteria, we took the kids' cake down for them. They started having it, but we wanted to share with the grown ups sitting upstairs, so we took up the leftover cake.
We put the cake on the table (along with the 3 16-inch pizzas bought from their cafe, and all the drinks we'd bought) only to be told almost immediately that we couldn't have food that we'd brought with us. I pointed out it was the birthday cake for our party. They then said told us, very loudly, in front of everyone, that we'd all have to move down to the party room if we wanted to eat it.
I pointed out that we'd been buying food and drinks from them, and that their cafe didn't serve birthday cake. They then claimed that the reason for the rule was that some customers might have allergies, and the environment was therefore controlled, which appears to have been a complete and utter lie, since they had just sold us 3 gluten-heavy cheese pizzas, cooked right there in the cafe kitchen. I pointed this out, and was told that the allergens in our cake might be airborne, unlike those in their pizzas!?!.
Their tone, from start to finish, while apparently lying to my face, was, in my opinion, one of absolute contempt and anger. To me, it seemed that they were angrily shouting at me, while lying to me and embarrassing me in front of the other parents at the school. I regret in the extreme having paid them anything for this "service", let alone the £400+ that they were left with at the end of the day.
I seriously doubt any of the parents in the entire party would consider going to the place again, either. In my opinion a richly-deserved 1-star review, and it's a shame you can't...
Read moreThey updated their policy, can go 2 adult with 1 kid again.
Where should I start? Normaly I would not complain about anything. But if something wrong I have to share so it will not happen with others hopefuly.
I , my husband and our nearly 2 years old son went here about 3 weeks ago. It was fantsatic. We enjoyed it all together. I booked the ticket online £6.5 for a 1 hour toddler session with 2 parents inside. Kids need to wear special socks , adults do not need too.
We went today again, because it was so fun last time. I booked online again. Same rules like last time I thought as at the booking nothing else has not changed. At the till they told us only 1 parent is allowed inside with the kid. That was the first dissapointment ... And they offered us we can swap each other.but one of us need to stay out.... Hm....okey... After 20 minutes they told to my hubby he needs to wear special socks... okey I went to the reception the get one for him. They told £2. Hmmmm. Okey they want us to charge for sock too. He came out I went in and told them I wont jump just I have to pay attention to my kid as I was paying for this activity...... they told me have to wear socks . I looked around 3 out of 5 adult did not wear any special socks.... i have to mention again last time it was no issue at all - Socks or special socks no matter.
So I told them give me a refund and I am out with my kid . The refused that . So I stayed for another 5 minutes but we were so dissapointed that one of us has to stay out we lost all the interest to be there and having fun...
The plcve was not croweded at all - Sunday 10 o clock. Plenty of pace to be. With or without special socks and with both patents! Some facilities were closed also which should have been open at weekends.
We wont go again. As it would have been a family activity together to see our child having fun, smile and jump together , not like crazy of course. And Not feel like you are a prisoner because in every second they keep coming what not to do. 3 weeks ago was totaly different.
Understand the rules. But if you change it so frequently you have to let us know , tell the paying customers !!!?- in time and not at the till last minute because I planned this activity and waited for it! And I would have not booked at all........ because we wont go again if only 1 parent is allowed inside.
*and how about a bunch like 7-8 toddler with only 2 adult ???? It is not too dangerous you think??? That is allowed. Yes. Because you charge after kid and not parent.... hm.
Maybe if you would have been offered like the second parent go for £1-or 2 extra charge . I would have been a happy customer. But now you just lost 2. And I will tell all my friend about this...
Read moreShocking Experience – Unprofessional and Disrespectful Staff
We attended a child’s birthday celebration at this venue, and what should have been a joyful and relaxing experience turned into something truly upsetting and stressful — especially for families with young children.
We were seated near the fire exit, and from the very beginning, the loud slamming of the door every time a staff member entered or exited was incredibly disruptive. The noise was so extreme and sudden that several of the children were visibly startled and became distressed — including my own daughter, who was clearly shaken.
Out of concern for the children, we politely asked the staff to be mindful and try to close the door more gently. Shockingly, they completely ignored our request. Even worse, after our polite feedback, it seemed like the staff began slamming the door more frequently and with even greater force, as if doing it out of spite.
We felt completely disrespected and unheard, and it genuinely seemed like the staff were acting with deliberate disregard for our concerns. Their attitude was rude, arrogant, and aggressive — not what you would expect from trained hospitality staff. It honestly felt like we were dealing with street thugs, not professionals hired to work in a family-friendly venue.
This was not a minor issue. The constant loud banging, the lack of empathy, and the mocking behaviour from the staff ruined the entire event for us. It’s disgraceful that a business that hosts children’s parties would show zero concern for the wellbeing of their guests, especially vulnerable little children.
I have never felt so uncomfortable and shocked by the attitude of staff in a public venue. We will absolutely never return, and I strongly urge other families — especially those with young children — to think twice before booking anything here.
This experience deserves to be taken seriously by the management, and I hope real action is taken to retrain the staff and reevaluate what kind of atmosphere you want to offer to...
