Pathetic service and rude staff I ordered through app and went to drive through where firstly there was no que and I had to ask multiple time for assistant where he responded after multiple attempt. When I approached to window he was not attentive at my order and busy taking another order, even my order disappeared from screen. I asked him if my order has gone through and he said yes and you can go to next window. On the next window, a guy said you havent paid where I mentioned I have paid through app can you please double check as the guy on first window was too busy talking with others and might have not processed order correctly. By the time I finished my sentence, an asian lady pulled her face out of window said to me you havent paid only part payment has gone through. I asked how come only part payment has gone through, it could be full or none but she mentioned you havent paid and I cant give you food because I havent paid. She repeated so many times that I havent paid so I cant get food. I calmly said I will come to restaurant where lady agreed and so I went in. Where lady keep saying I havent paid and now I have to go to drive through again to pay as she cannot take payment inside restaurant. Why was I asked to come inside restaurant when paymant couldnt be made inside restaurant. So I gave my card to her to tap on contact less but for security reason payment required PIN verified as per lady so I went around drive through where I paid through same card. I also mentioned to the guy who was taking order why did he asked to to go to next window when payment hasnt gone through where he simply replied I didn't realise that it hasnt gone through. Now when I went to next window the guy who was dispatching order shouted to the guy saying payment hasn't gone through as reciept hasnt come out. He repeated multiple times and finally I said I have just paid on window. He keep saying reciept hasnt come out as payment hasn't gone through. Guess what there wasbissue with printer and didn't print reciept. There was no appology at any point from any one. They had multiple opportunities to fix this but not a single apology. When I went home I was missing 3 dips from my order that was ordered with chilli cheese share box. Cherry on top was when I checked online reciept I was charged twice for ÂŁ10.28 and ÂŁ7.78 on same reciept and I can see same on thing on bank transaction and another two transactions for ÂŁ7.78. I hope two ÂŁ7.78 transaction will revert but I am concerned about ÂŁ10.28 and ÂŁ7.78 that is aslo appearing on my email reciept. Can some one look into transactions and respond me. Mcdonalds staff in gateway retail park owe me appology as they made me feel I have not paid for food. This was not my fault as it was Mcdonalds system that did not process transactions and staff carelessness has caused more inconvinience to my eating out experience with my family. The best thing the owner can do is to put up a higher sound barrier wall to relieve the freeway noise that makes it extremely challenging to place an order at the drive-through as neither the McDonald's worker nor the customer can communicate adequately. It never fails to happen repeatedly. The loud freeway traffic creates customers order communication havoc with the drive through speaker box that results in incorrect customer orders, and we, the patrons, have the inconvenience of driving around again to place another order to fix the order error. To receive decent service from the drive-through is hit or miss, depending on the skills of the worker(s) serving during your visit. We got lucky one day when the young female worker at the drive-through (around 4 pm-5 pm) was absolutely brilliant. The horrific loud highway traffic nearby made it impossible to convey our order using the speaker box, so she asked us to drive up to the first window. She provided exceptional customer service by being welcoming, courteous, patient, and helpful, which made our experience better for this particular visit. It was noticeable that the fries were less soggy this time. There's room for improvement to make them crisper. Appreciate the effort for less soggy fries today. Customer service must be consistent (proper CS training and skilled hiring ). Workers need to take the initiative to make modifications that bring customer satisfaction and not be robotic, working with minimal effort just to collect a paycheck. If you're not happy at your job it shows. Move on and open the door of opportunity for someone else who's a genuine people person who smiles and has pride in the quality of work they do at their job in serving the public. I stopped by at around 3 in the morning, which is usually a time when service at most places tends to feel rushed or tired, but this location really impressed me. Despite the late hour, the staff was incredibly friendly, polite, and attentive. They greeted me with a smile and made sure my order was taken quickly and correctly, which already made the visit feel welcoming. The food itself was absolutely delicious. Everything was hot, fresh, and perfectly prepared. I loved how flavorful it all was the fries were crispy and golden, the burger tasted amazing, and everything came together in that classic McDonaldâs way that always hits the spot. It was honestly the perfect comfort food, especially at that time of night. What stood out the most was not just the quality of the food, but also how clean and well-kept the place felt, even at such an unusual hour.
