A TRAINING ISSUE I must start by saying I am a big fan of Nando's, I have eaten with them in several of their establishments in London and Oxford and usually enjoy the meal. We had eaten in the Banbury Nando's before, and the meal was OK. I realise it is a new store, however today the person on the till was a bit flustered and asked me three times about my order, the latter half of which was ''A medium breast quarter of chicken, corn and chips''. A leg was brought to the table(an honest mistake) I took it back and was told politely to go back to my table and one would be brought over. Both managers were present today and one of them brought an anaemic breast of chicken barely scored, my wife cut the tip of it and it was cold, I returned to the table and the same manager came by and told us it was fine as she had cooked it herself. She said this several times. Not only is that insulting, but it also means the store has a health and safety issue, they clearly don't have a food temperature probe. I was told that we would be sent voucher, I assumed it was for the unpleasant experience of sitting eating my meal (I was really hungry) while my wife decided she wasn't going to eat anything, just in case something was done to her meal. I finished my meal as quickly as I could and approached the till to get my money back for the uneaten meal and was told by the other manager ''we are sending you a voucher, that's how we do it......No apology. I wasn't told how much the voucher would be. CUSTOMER SERVICE AND HONESTY IS DISSAPEARING IN...
Read moreWent on Saturday evening, was told it would be an hour and signed up to their app/website that updates you on estimated waiting time. After 15 minutes of walking around town the website still said 45-59 minutes wait so we bought drinks in a pub. Then 2 minutes later a text to say the table is ready and we have to be back in 10 minutes and then the table will go to someone else. Wasted a drink to get back in time, So not a great start!
When we ordered we wanted to use a gift card (one of them that you can use in lots if shops)... nope, their machine doesn't work, "you should have gone to Bicester, they have it all set up" came the response.
Finished the mains, which was standard nandos, overpriced but we keep going back haha. Went to ask for frozen yoghurt, nope, they don't have a machine.... "you should have gone to bicster, they have it all set up" came the response.
I think the staff are right........
Read moreGreat food, great atmosphere, nice staff, but not giving 5 stars as we've eaten there several times and had a few hiccups... The staff always handled the situation well though. First time was a takeaway. "Promised" pick up time was 8pm, but we only got the food at 8.15pm. We then went back home to find out that 2 items were missing/not right. We called and were offered a refund. We ate in two Friday evenings, and I'd advise not to eat there on Friday evenings if you're really hungry... Each time, we had to wait around an hour after ordering to get our food. The staff always apologised, but again, if you're really hungry, it's not the best experience. We've been there at lunch on other days and the food was served promptly and was always delicious.
So overall, great place to eat, but check your order if you're picking up a takeaway, and be ready to wait if you're going...
