Paw Paw stands out as the best Chinese/Thai takeaway I've had in Banbury, delivering an exceptional dining experience from start to finish.
The moment you step in, the commitment to cleanliness is immediately apparent, not just in the main dining area, but in every visible space, including the kitchen. It's clear that hygiene is a top priority, which adds a great deal of confidence to my experience.
The staff at Paw Paw and the couple Pip & Atta that served me we're incredibly friendly and professional, and their well presented appearance makes you feel genuinely welcomed. Their warm hospitality had truly elevated my entire visit.
The food itself was simply outstanding. I ordered the Duck Thai Red Curry with steamed rice, and it was a exceptional. The duck was cooked to perfection, and the curry was vibrant with flavour, it was cooked in aromatic herbs and spices that made every bite a delight. Just as important, the food was piping hot, which isn't what you always get with other takeaways. The Special Fried Rice was equally good, and perfectly cooked, and I was told I could have extra stock as I like my meals not to dry.
Considering the high quality of the food and the excellent service, the prices we're very reasonable, offering great value for money.
Paw Paw has set a standard for Chinese takeaways in Banbury, and I will definitely be ordering from them again. The meal was not just enjoyable, but was truly satisfying.

Read morePAD THAI ONION!.....I wasn't much impressed by my first meal from Paw Paw - expensive and small portions - but tonight I thought I would give them another try.
I had a take-away order of Crispy Seaweed (£3.60) which was okay - if a bit coarsely cut - but would not much more than have filled a coffee mug.
My main was Pad Thai Chicken (£5.70). This did fill up the takeaway container, but not in the way I had anticipated. There was a chunk of fresh lemon (why?) in the container which took up about 10% of the space. Another 10% consisted of a few chunks of chicken (I'm being generous). Of the remainder, 40% was pad thai noodles and 40% was onion. The sauce tasted like sweet-and-sour sauce from a packet from Morrisons (which is close to the restaraunt) - and I guess the lemon was meant to alter the flavour so that we would think it was pad thai.
Banbury must have something better than this.
But watch now: the owners will ensure that there are now three or four adulatory reviews praising their flavours, service and quality of food!
....but if you like packet sweet-and-sour sauce over onion....go ahead and spend...
Read moreWe have had our Chinese Takeaways from Paw Paw for the last 4 years. Had always been the best in town by a mile. The last 4 times something has changed, for the worse. Some of the dishes have been inedible , way too much salt etc . The service has become appalling . Missed orders . Accused of not placing orders even though they have taken my card payment . Had my very last order from them yesterday. It was chaos. Lost order, accused of lying about placing an order , then told another customer had taken it. Finally good food home it was totally unfit for eating and had to throw it away . Shall never use...
