Fat Pig BBQ — Restaurant in Chesterfield

Oh dear, ordered a takeaway and to be honest this was the worst food I have been served. The cost was £15 for a Pork Belly's gonna get ya. In this it stated that I would get Pork Belly, Coleslaw, BBQ sauce and pickles. It arrived on time so no issue with their delivery but when opened I thought they had missed it off the list. After triple checking I found in a tub in the same size as the coleslaw (if you can imagine a tub of coleslaw this gives you the approx size of the meal). The chips were hot and a decent size as was the coleslaw, the pickles were just two thin slices of gerhkin. Then I opened the pork belly, this consisted of five roughly chopped small pieces of pork belly made up of 95% fat and 5% meat. I know they call it FAT pig but if I wanted just fat I would've ordered that - and yes I expect some fat on a pork belly but the amount I received was ridiculous. I couldn't eat it so just ate the miniscule amount of meat. All in all it was the most disappointing takeaway meal I have ever had so we will not be giving this place our custom again. I would urge others to think also, you have been warned. As for the place itself - maybe you should have a word with whomever is plating these up, please let them know that just because the customer is out of sight it is not an excuse to deliver utter rubbish as it may come back to haunt...

Phoned up for a takeaway Friday night around 6 and was told that the earliest I could get my order was 9:20. On the one hand I was disappointed as I'd been salivating over the menu and looking forward to trying somewhere new, on the other hand I was so pleased to hear that a local business who'd only been running in this location for a few weeks is doing so well.

The next day I booked my food early via the app which was very easy to use, I ordered the £45 meat platter and within a few minutes of ordering I had a call asking if I was OK with my collection slot being 15 minutes later which was no problem to me and encouraging that the staff are so on top of their schedule.

Food was all ready for me on time when I went to collect and the staff and owners were great. The food itself was incredible, really nice flavours and an excellent selection of different meats, mac and cheese, pit beans and coleslaw. Was also nice to have a couple of pots of their bbq sauce included. Portion wise it fed five of us with some meat still leftover, I'd probably order an extra portion of loaded or dirty fries next time as the fries went fast! Will definitely be coming...

Disappointed. We’ve had Fat Pig BBQ before from local food and drink festivals in the past.We really enjoyed the food we had at the time. It was well made and you could tell that it was quality comfort scran. Today we tried some loaded chips, we had “Garlic? Chips?” And “Limp Brisket” the quality of the chips were poor, under cooked and the brisket was dry. We also had “Mac and Chicky”. The chicky came but no mac. Chicken was cold and over cooked. When I rang to tell them I had an item missing they assured me that i was wrong and they had counted the items before placing them in a bag. After I reassured the manager I hadn’t in-fact received the whole order, I was told to come and collect it as they use “citygrabs” and would take over 2 hours to come. We waited 2 hours prior to receive our food. I wouldn’t be so inclined to go out of my way to give a bad review but I feel like the price we paid wasn’t worth the food and service...
