A lovely cosy atmospheric place to catch up with friends over coffee and amazing donuts or have a beer with a delicious grilled cheese sandwich, we did both and stayed for about 3 hours a little bit tipsy for a Saturday afternoon. A great location to meet as its very close to the crooked spire in the centre of town, and its just opposite the walkway that heads to the railway station. First time in the cafe/ bar. Very welcoming owner who explained what they served and opening hours. We sat upstairs which had a tasteful decor , very clean toilets and plenty of seating. The two cappuccinos we had including one decaff were excellent and you could taste the coffee and not just hot milk. We will try the bar on Saturday as there was a good choice of craft beers, lager and a local hand...

I’ve had many hot chocolates over my 35 years, but I can’t remember a single one as good as this. Creamy, ready-to-drink (i.e. hot but not scalding), absolutely delicious; even it’s creation was scientific and confusing. Great selection of beers also, and a cider for every preference.
