O-tokuda has always been one of my favourite places to go to for sushi and Chinese food. It serves Chinese, Japanese and Korean cuisine now, and since it has reopened the building feels much more spacious and even more beautifully decorated. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I've only ever been for the buffet, but I have never had anything bad from here yet, the quality is always good. I will hopefully come back again when I have the time to do so and I always recommend O-tokuda to friends and family. The sushi is fresh as always and the chicken dishes are perfect. Honestly could not fault them, I should have made the review sooner. O-tokuda is fairly wheelchair friendly, you have to go through the back entrance where the kitchens are to be able to enter, but it's not a bad thing as the staff are there to help. Love this place!

One word to describe this Japanese fusion food restaurant and the word is 'Wow', you can basically taste the effort that the amazing chefs put into the divine, quality food. I would definitely recommend the sushi or gyoza (dumpling), but ask for ginger and extra wasabi as they do not usually give it anyway, and definitely do the all-you-can-eat instead of normal, if you have kids only bring if they're under 11 years old as it only costs £11. Immensely Enormous shout out to Jess and Carmen as they are so good at being waiters, I would give them personal Michelin stars. They are truly authentic waiters and treat customers with VERY large quantities of kindness and you can see that they enjoy their job, In conclusion, I would definitely recommend this wonderful restaurant.

Great to have eat as much as you can menu here. Two of us love the salmon sashimi very much and ordered 6 dishes totally. They are fresh and in good sizes. The staff are nice although only 2 of them were there. Chef all wear traditional Japan chef clothes, so professional. Their oriental dishes are good surprisingly. Char Siu is similar to HK taste. King prawns done all good in different sauce. Deep fried Won Ton is in good standard , similar to HK dim sum. Singapore rice vermicelli is nice as well. We take the order, and foods come over rapidly. More importantly, it costs £25 per head. That is a reasonable price in Chesterfield town centre. Would definitely try again and try other dishes. There are 91 dishes available.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5/5 – The Best All-You-Can-Eat Sushi Experience in Chesterfield!

If you're a sushi lover in Chesterfield, look no further – this place is an absolute gem. I’ve been to my fair share of sushi spots, but this all-you-can-eat restaurant stands out not only for its fresh, flavour-packed food but also for its exceptional service.

The sushi selection is top-tier – from classic nigiri and sashimi to creative rolls and hot Japanese dishes like gyoza. Every plate we tried was beautifully presented and bursting with flavour. The quality is way beyond what you’d expect from an all-you-can-eat place – fresh fish, perfectly seasoned rice, and great attention to detail.

But what truly sets this restaurant apart is the staff – especially the wonderful waitresses. They are all incredibly bright and have their own personalities and talents! They were genuinely friendly, incredibly attentive, and made sure our experience was seamless from start to finish. Orders arrived quickly, special requests (especially obscure allergies) were handled without hesitation, and they brought an infectious energy that made the whole evening feel special.

It’s rare to find a place where you can enjoy unlimited sushi without sacrificing quality or service – but this restaurant gets it exactly right.

As a bar tender I appreciate their willingness to adapt cocktails to taste (within reason) and that the bartender today (that I think is new) tried their best and was receptive to feedback when only one drink was too sweet and provided extra mixer (soda water & lemonade) as requested. Well done you will be running a bar in no time!

Highly recommended for date nights, family dinners, or just a casual evening out when you're craving something fresh and delicious. We’ll definitely be back (probably sooner than we should!).

As a final note I would like to congratulate all the staff that have just passed their...

Great customer service; however, the food wasn’t as what I expected. When we came in the restaurant, there was a really strong chemical sanitiser odour. It was really strong. It’s like they painted the entire restaurant in the morning before opening in the evening. I don’t blame them. Every penny count. I love Japanese buffet and probably went to roughly 100s restaurants around the world. Seeing the positive reviews, we thought of giving it a try. Overall, most of the food that we ordered were either dry or salty. I had to drink tons of water to rinse down the salts. We ordered satay, and the chicken tasted really dry. The Singapore noodle was full of salts. We had to drink loads of water to wash away. They probably made it salty so that we buy more drinks. The Gyozo dumpling was one of the worst. It looks like everything is stuffed into a nice little dumpling. It was heavy and the mince/ingredient were probably compressed by a big rock and then microwaved. It might help those who work in the farm and needed something to keep them full as they’re always in a hurry. It also reminds me of my boarding school. You could literally hit someone with the dumpling and they’ll have serious injury. The cooked veggies were good and the salt and pepper King prawn was good. The sashimi...

After coming to this restaurant for over 10 years, my family was very excited to return after the refurbishment and petition to keep this restaurantopen. However, the service and the food really let the place down. The food was not hot (mostly mild) and tasted like it had been reheated, some food was also burnt and tasteless. The service was poor, our waitress barely came over and eventually took so long to serve us that the other waitress ended up serving us instead. There were only two waitresses and based on how many people had booked that evening this was not adequate. Food took a long time to come out and I can not emphasis enough the poor quality of food, even though the prices have gone up since the refurbishment. I had last visited this restaurant November 2021 which was enjoyable, as previous visits, so was very disappointed and shocked by how much this restaurant had fallen in quality. Will not be returning and will recommend the same to all my family in friends. All in all a very...
