-Updated since 2022- Great pub/restaurant. (Though feels more of a pub than anything else).🍻 Hopitality: 4.5/5 service was amazing. I had my food and desert brought to me quicker than I even expected! 👨‍🍳 Food: 4.8/5 just as good as the service. The garlic bread was done juust right, for the burger; (unless it was the cheese or double patty); I was surprised. Flavour, taste, not too fiery and crunchy. One of the best around! Unfortunately pizza, cheescake, and Profiteroles are no longer served here.🫤 Finally dessert. Due to changes, I decided I had a lotus biacoff cheesecake, and it was divine. Would have again. Building: 4/5 very standard and modern establishment; can't be too fancy for the vibe they have going; (maybe).😎 Minor note: everything to me checks out in the toilet rooms now since my 1st visit. 👍

Last stop for a quick drink before catching up train. Outside seating good for enjoy summer days. There's enough seatings inside too. oops doesn't matter if you're the only one on counter but still you have to wait to be served because staff busy in their chat. After couple of minutes wait, I turned to be out to try another place when one of a staff called me back. Anyhow got my drink while they were keep talking and totally ignored me. No hi no bye, no thanks no smile, even robot can serve you better. All I had my drink and enjoyed it rather then think about how they served me because some places can't be visited twice.

Came in for lunch after finishing work. The mains were very nice but the side order of onoin rings was discusting. The first lot arrived very dark and dripping in fat. So politly asked for them to be changed only to recieve theese exactly the same. Very very dissapointed as it looked like the oil hadnt been change in a while. As regular customers we advised the staff previously on the 13th of this month that this was the case as we had breakfast and the hash browns were exactly the same. This jas put us rofgt off eatong here again. Shame as we really like. It as oir regular food haunt

Always get a great cut unfortunately hair colouring is not so positive. On my last visit I had a huge blob of dye on my cheek and dye inside both my ears. I understand to get good coverage there is always going to be dye round my hair line and on the edge of my ears but INSIDE both!.....What I found totally unacceptable is that my shirt collar was also covered in dye and despite stating at the time my shirt was wet which was then looked at by the stylist they choose not to be honest and tell me my shirt collar was covered in dye. The dry cleaners were unable to remove it. The salon offered me £50 off a future service but why would I want to go back? It would be more appropriate to refund £50 from the £129.00 I paid for the privilege of having hair dye...

Mixed bag when it comes to the clientele. I cannot fault the staff. They work especially hard and are a credit to this town centre pub. Prices are the best in town and value on a par with wetherspoons. DJ really brings the pub to life and if your into sport then you have a choice of screens. All the staff are great but one in particular (Mel) is especially efficient. Choice of ales are as expected in a town centre pub but it's always busy. Need a bit of an upgrade in terms of decor. The food is good value and I have no complaints for the price. As someone of a certain age I particularly enjoy the 80s night. It may not be stylish but it's an honest pub that seems to do well. This is not for hipsters or young men who like to wear peaky...
