The Sunday lunch was OK, usual fare, with a couple of roast potatoes, one slice of carrot and a slice of parsnip, some mash and cabbage with a small sausage wrapped in bacon. As for service, the staff were polite but delivered our meals to the wrong table, whose occupants promised that they had not eaten anything, but unfortunately, the meal for myself and wife was not as hot as we usually like and a little on the small side for vegetables. The meals were however reheated to our satisfaction. Two adult meals and one child's meal (no issues voiced by my daughter) came to £34.97. We were offered a round of drinks at the bar, as compensation, but we declined this offer. The bar area adjacent to the dining area was busy and I almost stood on a dog having a snooze.
