Calamity and more - Well if you like tea pots of all kinds, this the shop for you and your friends. Visited back in early Autumn and although the area was busy it was fairly quiet inside. We squeezed in to find a couple leaving, so we wasn't served until they had left. We finally got served by stern character of a woman, it almost felt like we were intruding, however once the friends of the owner arrived the tension eased a little. We ordered our food it felt like school dinners, good in quantity, it lacked in flavour. Prices are reasonable but to be honest theres better to be had elsewhere, with less chance of bumping into Nora Batty. Probably wouldn't visit again if I am truthful, as after I paid at the counter I spotted the state of the food prep area looked like Compo's old shed...2/5

We visited this lovely little cafe on holiday and were given an extremely warm welcome from the owner, Jane. She treated us as though she’d known us for years like a home from home. We had the Sunday roast which was superb, everything is homemade and even to dietary requirements. We couldn’t fault anything so of course we went again and each time we were not disappointed! Her baking and cooking are faultless, even her dairy free homemade custard is 10/10!

One of the best breakfasts the other half ever had, and he does like his breakfasts so this is high praise... Brilliant allergy support, with GF and dairy free offerings, looking forward to returning for some cake later.

On the day we visited, the cafe was completely empty, despite other cafes nearby being full. I greeted the owner cheerfully and received a lacklustre response, which prompted me to ask how she was. She replied that she was fine in a grumpy manner. Our group, which included 3 young children, showed an interest in the impressive tea pot collection, but did not get much reaction to this either. Ironically, we were served tea in very basic, metal tea pots, which seemed like a missed opportunity. Throughout the rest of our visit, we were left alone/ ignored and did not receive any smiles even when leaving. We couldn't help feeling we had been an inconvenience. Finally, an older couple (her parents?) arrived midway through our visit and they were clearly very well known to each other. At one point, the owner joked about something with them, saying "tough s*" in front of our young children, which I found very unclassy. I would try this tea room again, but wouldn't recommend it, given...

We visited when we were passing through. This place was just what I needed after a bad few days. The whole experience made me smile and brightened my day. Jayne was so warm send friendly even though she was rushed off her feet. The food was amazing and my hot chocolate couldn't have had anymore marshmallows in it, if it tried. If you're in a rush and can't appreciate the whole vibe of this wonderful teapot filled cafe and want serving within seconds...this isn't the place for you. We can't wait to pop in again when...
