New Lee Raj — Restaurant in Chichester

Went tonight with friends who live locally. We had to send our drinks back three times bottle of Magners 11 months out of date. Can of Strongbow 12 months out of date. Pint of lemonade completely flat. ! We were a party of 4 they brought two meals and sides out and we waited for the other meals we had to ask for them to be brought out. Food was ok. Not outstanding. When the bill came they had charged for drinks and added compulsory service charge. We called them over and asked for a manager and was told there wasn’t one, so I said I’m sorry but after the drinks being out of date three times I wasn’t paying a service charge , I’ll pay for the drinks we had but not the service charge to which he said why we got you new ones ? We had a terrible experience with New Lee Raj and do NOT recommend them. They happily took our takeaway order at 19.00 on Saturday night advising our delivery would take 50min to an hour, which was fine with us. 20.15 no takeaway, we phoned to ask for an update and they had clearly lost our order promising it would be with us in another 20 minutes. 21.00 still no food and when we phoned again for an update the manager became aggressive with us and hung up the phone. We had to call on numberous occassions for an update and All the staff we spoke to were rude, angry and had no control of their business. The food finally turned up at 21.45 delivered by a driver who said ‘I’m not going back there’ which clearly suggested, we were not the only customers that evening who had terrible customer service from New Lee Raj. I live in North Mundham and my partner and I often go to wittering beach to walk our dog,last friday 18th sept being one of those time,we decided that we would try the moonlight tandoori for a take away as it had been recommended by friends.Unfortunately we WILL NOT be going back,when we got our meal home it was someone elses order so my partner rang them to explain,they asked for us to drive back which is at least 20mins away,but he said no as we had a drink,so eventually they agreed to bring our meal out to us,and yes it was on time,but again there was items missing and it was very cold the Tikka Masala was bland we did not get anything complimentry or even a sorry,i think this is outragous after paying a lot of money.These people need to have lessons in customer service from Masala gate in Chichester as they know how to treat there...
