Our first visit to Midhurst... thought we'd try this cafe for our breakfast on our first morning and then returned again for breakfast for our second morning. The English and the even bigger Full English breakfasts were both yummy yummy. Coffee (double expresso, cappuccino and flat white ordered), maybe not barista made, but okay. Great breakfast menu, check out the waffles. Extremely friendly staff, good open spacious cafe. Situated in the middle of this lovely little town. Highly recommended. A must visit for breakfast!

What a find! We discovered this coffee shop on a Good Friday. The place is lovely. Very warm, welcoming. Friendly staff. Food was lovely. We had breakfast brunch stack (egg, toast, hash brown, bacon, sausage). Then coffee and carrot cake. A great example of an excellent coffee shop.

Nice spot in what was the centre of the old town. Plenty of outdoor tables, limited inside when busy. Food and drink are varied and tasty. Don't forget to get your free parking in the Grange car park and walk over if the parking nearby is full ( as it is limited).

We visited today after finding out our favourite cafe in town has permanently closed. So were looking for the next best thing. Sadly Gartons wasn't it. We were pleased that it was dog friendly and took a seat by the window. It was a little snug in there but ok. We ordered our coffees which were fine and then when the coffee came ordered food. The menu had a good choice of things on it. It wasn't particularly busy but we waited 45mins for 3 orders of waffles. I was expecting some thing pretty delicious having taken that long but was very disappointed. The waffles were more like churos. They were dry and very sweet and almost like they had been deep fried. 2 of us had bacon and maple and 1 poached egg and spinach. The poached egg and spinach just really didn't go well with the sweet waffles. The bacon and maple were extra sweet and just dry. They came with a small salad garnish. For nearly £8 per portion I felt that was very steep for the quality and portion of the dish. The cafe was clean. Staff polite. And situated in a lovely place. We will probably only have coffee and cake next time...

I came here last year on a Saturday afternoon and was not impressed. We asked for a Rose wine and they had run out, ordered the salmon and cream cheese sandwich and again had run out on cream cheese so we had salmon and butter sandwich.

Decided to give them the benefit of the doubt, and visit again today at around 13:30 this afternoon. Again they had run out of Rose wine. The service took a long time as well, luckily we were in no rush.

We have decided to not come back here again, which is a shame as it is a nice spot in the sun with outdoor seating. However it is not hard to ensure that there is sufficient amount of ingredients so someone can order the food on the menu. Or to ensure that there is Rose wine, especially at the start of the weekend and in the Summer. Two visits now and no Rose wine, its poor management and just frustrating. Clearly have not learnt from mistakes...

Unfortunately it was market day my party of 6 sat at one table we ordered food and coffee coffee was served and we had to wait for over an hour for some sandwiches, no one said it would be a long wait or we would have just settled for coffee. When we complained they appogise and gave us coffee for free, which was appreciated but the whole experience was spoiled by the wait, just a suggestion ask who long food will take as its nice to drink coffee with the sandwich, The service was good and polite just need to sort the...
