New Magna Tandoori Restaurant — Restaurant in Chichester

Booked a table for six people 4 adults 1 child and a baby. Arrived at the restaurant no hello just this is your table we sat down the waiter came over "you want drinks, popadoms" I asked if we could have menus first! Menus given waiter came back asking if we want drinks, popadoms. My daughter asked what she could eat as shes a coeliac. "You can't eat lamb with sauce but you can eat lamb dry, no other explanation. My daughter then went over to the bar area and asked if the popadoms were OK to eat apparently they have wheat in them but we will ask the manager to speak to you so he can explain ingredients. The waiter we had actually turns out to be the manager he tells my daughter he's too busy very very busy and cannot go upstairs to get the allergen folder to explain to her and shooed her away with his hand and said please sit down. I'm very angry with the absolute appaling way he has treated us since we stepped foot in the restaurant. I feel I really need to do this review ,I have been to this restaurant at least 10 times ,the food is excellent ,no problems there ,they sell the wine and beer that both my husband and I enjoy ,they also serve the wine in really nice glasses [IE] crystal .It is just a shame that the staff do not appear happy in their work ,the young lads look miserable ,and the head guy well ,my husband ordered a drink ,was given the wrong one ,when he mention it , it was changed ,how ever when it was placed on the table he then said and I quote [ you changed your mind ] we ignored this ,went on to order our meal ,and all through the meal were made to feel uncomfortable ,how ever this doesn't work on me ,but our friends were upset ,its such a shame because I now feel that I do not want to go back again when I visit Selsey .We have a caravan on the Bunn Leisure site ,so I recommend it to all my guest ,not sure I will be again ,also the restaurant needs back ground music ,as you don't feel you can have a conversation ,because...

Unprofessional !! booked for a special occasion and told us they not got our booking ...charged our mates over the price just avoid... As for your reply we have the record of the booking for said date due to a relative coming all the way over from Spain for a promised and booked meal ...very disappointed as a local and giving it another go after being overcharged before....have used their other restaurant mahan in Worthing which has always served us well ...very disappointed after a conversation with Ali the owner in new magna after he virtually called my husband a liar .we feel he took a larger booking over our small family booking of 3 people ...very disappointed ruined our much waited for family get together.....in answer to your answer we booked end of November for Xmas eve so not a last minute request at all ...you took a more profitable booking of 20 over our small one and being locals thought you'd fob us off .....totally ruined our Xmas eve and tried...
