I have today after a 12 hour shift decided to use mcdonalds for my tea.
Being curious I ordered a mcrib meal and overall we ordered £36 or just under by pennies.
We ordered this via uber eats order number:
The order arrived and upon inspection of the contents of the bag.
We noticed our mcrib burgers x 2 were not in the bag.
I immediately contacted the store.
The on site manager at the time Jo answered.
Initially I was polite and asked her if I nipped to the store cud she please give me the missing burgers.
In my mind if the food was prepared and we'd ordered them they wud just be sat on the counter waiting.
So I thought ring soon as so I cud get my tea.
Your manager informed me that no she cudnt give me the burgers.
Couldn't provide a acceptable or any explanation as to why the items were missing.
I also asked why she cudnt simply give me the burgers.
All she was prepared to do was hand me a 3rd party number to get them to deal with.
I did go to the store.
Showed her the receipt and asked her again to give me the burgers.
She said there was nothing she cud do.
And then charged me again for the burgers on there own £9.18 for the 2.
At this point I won't lie I was angry.
But I still paid.
And said something that your manager didn't like obviously.
As immediately she went on the I'm cancelling your order refusing your service and giving you a refund.
She didn't infact give me a refund.
And at this point I openly admit I lost it with her.
I will not be returning to this site unless these issues are dealt with.
I want that lady spoken to and reminding that good customer service is a given with such a large company.
And that regardless of rank she shud conduct herself professionally and assist any customers where ever possible.
I also want my money back as I did not receive the goods paid for.
That store is a absolute shambles
The staff are horrendous and there general demeanor is shocking.
I urge senior management to check this place out.
I've been a customer regularly for years and this is infact the worst experience I've ever had.
Now hungry almost £50 out of pocket and feeling very disappointed with you...

"No lad, you're correct, this is still carbonated water". Returned to hole in wall. "This is still carbonated water". Hole responsed, "we have changed the syrup". Mother replied, "feel free to sample the refreshment yourself". Family all finished eating, ready to go. "We will take a Coke instead, thanks. Upgrading to a large would be a reasonable gesture considering my son is quite thirsty and our experience here has not been particularly enjoyable". No apology for the inconvenience, no smile. Read moreI get that it's new, I get that there maybe staff are leaving (not the job for them etc). What I dont get is why you have to wait upwards of 10 minutes to have your food served (& it's not even busy!!!). First visit the ordering screens would not let us add a soft drink to our order...no signs, no info so we assumed it was us. Finally after 7-8mins I lost my patience & stopped a member of staff & was informed..."oh that's because we're having the tubes cleaned!) Grrrr...at least tell your customers!. Then we had to wait 10 minutes whilst our Big Mac's were created. 🤔
2nd visit, screens worked (yay!!!) Resturant was emptyish...& counter server apologising to everyone in the queue..."sorry for your wait" nice but it shouldn't be necessary....so 12 minutes to have the food served & then the fries were luke warm Grrrr 😔.
C'mon McDonalds me thinks you need to 'up your game' I am not the only mediocre review on here...there's clearly a message.👎 And don't even get me started on why the 'Big Mac' ain't so big anymore. 😡
