The Yarrow Valley park has free parking and it's available for several dozens of spaces. If you walk to or from this park, please take care of the steeper hill on the Birkacre road. I slipped and fell on this road. Even with walking boots. The leafs, rain, the hill slope and smooth tarmac made this accident occur. In this park building is a loo too. This cafe is a nice treat after or before your walk within the grounds of the Yarrow Valley park. The cafe is compact and has a low limit of how many punters it could handle. It can open after 10.30 in winter times. Usually sooner when warmer seasons. I can treat myself to buy an ice-cream in the warm weather. In the colder times I can treat myself occasionally with a scone with cream and jam and a mug of tea. This scone and tea is £3 cheaper than the equivalent in Astley...

Our rating relates to the 'chips', which were served dark brown, greasy with no taste and majority small scraps. The worst chips we've experienced bar one (back street fish and chop shop in Northallerton, we struggle to forget).
