I am gluten intolerant and it is really difficult to eat out unfortunately. Add in a friend who is lactose intolerant and our joint birthday lunch seems like an impossibility. I have heard fantastic thinks about Woodchats but I haven't ventured there before myself. The decor is lovely and modern. Its clean and the staff were lovely and friendly. This is my first experience eating out since lockdown so of course I felt a little apprehensive. The lovely lady dealing with us made us immediately feel at ease, she discussed our dietary requirements and what things they could do for us - which was quite a bit. We both opted for basil humous and olives which did not disappoint! It was delicious. I also ordered some gluten free scones to take home. I have previously had these delivered and these are incredible! I also took home a few other items. Woodchats also participate in the suspended coffee scheme which is brilliant. A nice easy way to give a kind gesture. Or a way for someone to get a coffee no questions asked when they need one. All in all a fantastic place and I will be returning. Highly recommended particularly to those with...

Everything was beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. The staff were very welcoming and attentive, and the cafe felt safe, clean and very efficient. Highly recommended - we shall definitely return. Thank you so much for our lovely...
Read moreI’m sorry to say we were disappointed with our recent visit. We came here as gluten free cakes were advertised so we thought they would be celiac aware but unfortunately not. There was only one GF cake and nothing GF on the rest of the menu unless you get a sandwich with GF bread, which we asked not to be toasted but it came out toasted, not sure if a separate toaster was used? I enjoyed my non GF pancakes. I asked if the sausage was GF and was told it’s not. I just think these days places should be more celiac aware and we will go elsewhere in future for...
