My boyfriend and I decided to pay Mimi’s bakehouse a visit on a Saturday afternoon. The dirty tables outside were offputting before we even entered the cafe. We came in around 1.30 pm, attracted by the offer of all day brunch menu on your website. To our disappointment there was no food left and the coffee we ordered was flat.
Even though we wanted to sit inside, the coffee would be served in takeaway cups if we didnt specifically insist to have them in mugs, which seemed to be an inconvenience. When asked for some cream for the scone, the server said there wasnt any, even though the cream cannister was right next to her and the cream was served only because I pointed ot out.
The cafe was not busy and there were 3 employees, which was more than enough to sort these issues out.

My partner had cheese scone which was fine so i asked to swap for cheese scone was told to pay for new scone!!!! as they couldnt serve the fruit scone to another customer. 😱😱😱. eventually lady with dark hair on a pony tail said ok on the house. she then brought scone to table and litterally slammed it on the table without looking at me. Just occasionally the cakes taste a bit stale like they were from the day before (in some ways I'd rather that than think of the food waste) but when you get a fresh one you can taste the difference, they are lovely. Is us set in the grounds of Lauriston which is a lovely setting for a nice stroll.
