Great wee restaurant that serves delicious traditional Turkish cuisine.

As the restaurant is quite small it provides a very intimate atmosphere and ensures you feel like your meal has been very thoughtfully prepared and attentively served when compared to big commercial restaurants.

Appears as though it is family run which gives it a very authentic feel, almost as if you’ve gone round to a your Turkish friend’s house who is amazing at cooking.

We had every meze dish on the menu, it was all freshly prepared, healthy and plentiful. The warm sweet milky drink that I had was amazing and I want to go back just for that, can’t remember what it was but it was a Turkish drink that I’d never tried before.

Only slight criticism would be the dessert, not a lot on offer and the baklava we had wasn’t the best we’ve ever had.

However, it’s refreshing to see a restaurant at this location rather than another takeaway which I would guess so easily could have been the case.

Situated very close to elm row, Pera is finally visited. Decorated with the combination of white and blue colours, Pera give you the Turkish food sensation. What I tried is the halloumi sucuk (fried halloumi with beef sausage). It is a alright starter. What I particular like is their kuzu kanurga or lamb ribs. I am cautious with the smell of lamb but this ribs is as they claimed is very tender and succulent. I couldn’t recognize the lamb smell at all which is very impressive for me. Dipping with yogurt or the salad which is quite similar with Thai spicy salad also adds complex flavors.

The staff is very polite and informative. The dishes, plates or cup they use also quite creatively unique.

They now accept cash or bank transfer so keep you phone battery alive.

Amazing Turkish barbecued mangal meat, delicious Turkish Mezze as a starter. My first ever taste of Okra, delicious in a spicy red sauce. I loved the Turkish Bubble Bread, delicious.

Great atmosphere too, and our hosts were welcoming and friendly and attentive.

The food at Pera is amazing. I will come back for Mangal charcoal barbecue Turkish style Kofte, chicken and beef.

We were a group of about 14 friends and family. Everybody loved this restaurant. This place gets a 10 out of 10 from us.
