The Joker and the Thief?….the only joker in here was the manager.Me and a friend went in for a drink.We were having a bit of banter and a laugh with the barmaid as she poured us the wrong drinks.Started chatting with the manager,and as he looked like he was out of a cartoon with his ridiculous clothes,big beard and glasses,me and the mate asked if he was on undercover boss as the mate brushed his beard.The next thing he started shouting nobody assaults him in his bar and told us to get out throwing our drinks down the sink.Now me and the mate are in our mid 50’s so we don’t go out looking for trouble.I’ve never felt as embarrassed leaving a bar whilst the manager’s shouting we assaulted him in front of the other customers,he was completely out of order.Definitely wouldn’t recommend this pub,especially if you’re intending to have a bit of banter with...

Usually always have a great experience here. But our pizza from Origano took two hours to arrive, which is out of the bar staff’s control of course, but when it finally arrived my friends and I let out a collective ‘yay!’ as we were so hungry after such a lengthy wait. One of the bar staff then angrily came over and told us that it was demeaning and unacceptable to act this way. Really like this pub but had a bad experience yesterday, went in with 2 friends at about 5:30, a group of about 5 guys went in just before us, similar age, late 40's, at that point the barmaid informed us that she was not serving "big groups of guys" Why were were all stigmatised that way I'm unsure however I'm sure if the barmaid was refused service due to gender, she'd be up in arms.
