I ventured into Shore Deli for a bit of lunch, lured in by its cosy charm and the promise of something hearty. I settled on the Mumma’s sandwich, stacked with prosciutto, salami, and mozzarella—ingredients that, on paper, sounded like the makings of a proper masterpiece. It arrived after a precise 13 minutes and 6 seconds (aye, I counted again—consistency is important, even in sandwich science). The focaccia was spot on: good chew, a wee bit of crisp, the kind of bread that makes you nod approvingly like you’ve just heard a good ceilidh tune. But here’s the rub: I was left wanting more pesto—a drizzle here and there does not a flavour explosion make. And I while the sandwich was nice enough, it leaned more on the basic side. Nothing wrong with simple, mind you, but at the price they were charging, I was expecting a sandwich that sang louder than a piper on Sauchiehall Street. Instead, it was more of a polite hum.

After walking from Edinburgh Castle to The Britannia, it was time for a much needed snack. This beautiful deli is tucked away right along the water offering great views while enjoying a bite. The owners were super friendly and made the experience. The food is fantastic!!!!! It’s full of flavor, but light and airy. Wether you are visiting or a local, I’d highly recommend.

I literally dream about the soup here. Courgette and Parmesan is insanely tasty. Good value for money, the service is golden! Huge variation of deli salad and sandwiches! Would highly recommend this spot if you are in Leith/Shore area 👌🏽✨

Nice deli. Pulled pork is slightly bland (I've had it several times) but once you put a bit of hot sauce on it it's great. Portions are also very large and price is very reasonable. They also do a tasty nice chilli beef wrap and salad. They have free water on display, which is a nice touch as most places would rather you buy their drinks all the time. I highly...
