A girl does love an Indian at least once a month!
A girl like me is very particular about where I get it from as I cannot tolerate any spice higher than mild.
Curry India is in my opinion one of the very best Indian restaurants & takeaway that you can have in Colchester!!
Eat in or takeaway the food is of the utmost deliciousness you can get......
This time I had it delivered & it came in these reusable containers, the smell emanating from them was like "omg I can't wait to dig in" variety.
I ordered for my guests & myself the king prawn special as well as chicken tikka biriani, lamb biriani, mushroom rice, chicken tikka, keema naans & the mint sauce combo dips.
The food did not last long as it was extremely delicious & enjoyed by all. The mushroom rice went very well with the king prawns........naan bread was soft & full of meat.
I highly recommend you do either go to the restaurant to eat or enjoy it from the comfort of your own home.
The restaurant is not too far from Colchester Town Centre at all. So you can enjoy a meal then go have a night out at the various night clubs & pubs in town.
Enjoy!!!

Read moreI got a take away from this restaurant simply because it was closest to where I was staying and I have to say I was really pleased and impressed with the food! I ordered a vegetable dopiaza, coconut rice, sag aloo and a peshwari naan (yes I like my food!). I got a free popadum and yogurt dip. The food was delicious. As a vege I always worry that the dish may be a bit sparse, but the dopiaza was packed with veg and had a lovely warm spicy kick to it. The rice was really lovely and the spinach in the sag was plentiful with not a hint of bitterness at all. I'm up from London for the week and glad I chose this restaurant to take out from. The staff were very friendly and I enquired about taking out a beer and he said I could, but it'd be costly as they would charge it at restaurant price and advised against it! I thought that was a really lovely thing to do, as they could have made more money on the order. So I picked some up from the Tesco near by. All in, it came to about £14 which I thought was pretty good as I at least two meals worth of food. Would definitely order...
Read moreGot a takeaway from here for his birthday on my step sons recommendation. It was one of the worst curries I've had for a long time. The staff lamb curry and staff chicken curry were quite literally SWIMMING in oil - the picture is how much sauce and oil was left AFTER taking the meat out. Just awful, I've never had anything like it. My roti was dried up like it had been sitting there for hours before actually being served. The aloo gobi was poor - potatoes actually undercooked. The mushroom rice was clearly just pilau with some fried mushrooms thrown in, it wasn't mushroom rice at all. The only thing which was half decent was the vegetable bhuna. We will certainly never order from here again, quite how it's got 4 stars on Google is beyond me, i cannot believe the positive reviews. It's a shame because the staff seemed very nice, but the food was terrible, and was over £60 for the 3 of us, really...
