So we went here on Saturday 21st August on the way back from town with myself, the hubster and his brother. Thought we would have a cheeky coffee. So ordered a cappuccino, latte and a regular coffee, thought it would be quick as there was no one else there, amazing how you can assume something isn't it. After about 10 mins our first coffee arrived, cappuccino the girl said, we looked at it, looked at each other and thought, where is the foam. I went to pick it up and realised it was cold, to the point i could put my finger in it. I took it back, said that it wasn't a cappuccino and it was cold, and had to prove it by sticking finger in. Now i must point out that there was 3 people behind the counter, so 10 mins for 3 coffees shouldn't of happened. I was asked if i wanted another one made, and as she said this she was holding the latte (or should i say a mug of what could only be described as hot , assume hot milk). I asked for a refund. She said she needs to get her manager to do refund, and disappeared upstairs. She came down with a gentleman who apologised and proceeded to do my refund. He then said he just needed to do something and went back upstairs, then came down with a phone to his ear, talking to someone who was telling him how to do a refund. A manager who cant process a refund, shouldn't be a manager, yet. All in all a bad experience at the end of what was a nice day...
Read moreI’ve ordered several times before from tub and cone, I should of left a review a while ago but I’d thought I’d give them the benefit of the doubt, but no, every time I order there is a mistake with the order, I ordered biscoff donuts, no sauce a teaspoon of biscoff crumbs for £4.95 for something that’s about £1 on a market stall. Peanut butter stack is about 1/3 the size it normally is, I have previously missed out on orders or not gotten drinks etc.
My favorite time is when I ordered to pick up in store last year, I arrived 7 minutes early, I know this because I was told by a member of staff and belittled telling me I was seven minutes early, and that maybe next time I should just order for delivery instead, because they had sooo many orders, they couldn’t deal with customers right now, genuinely said that, I went back to my car to wait, came back in took my order and then left, have not ordered in person again or step foot inside the...
Read moreWe had spotted the shop front several times but did not know how to get there by car. We now know you simply take Crouch Road off the roundabout and there is free parking. We stopped by today eager to get an ice cream and when we got there to our dismay they were closed for refurbishment. But, on seeing the looks on our faces, especially my 10 year old daughter, the owner opened the door and asked if we would like to have an ice cream on the house!. AMAZING! Not only did we both get an ice cream but more to the point the ice cream was out of this world. I would highly recommend a visit. We are going to pop back tomorrow as it was so good and treat ourselves. What a lovely old fashioned shop selling quality ice creams with a customer service that shows how much she cares about her customers. A real hidden gem of a shop. Please visit, you will no be disapointed. FIVE STARS...
