McDonald's — Restaurant in Cotswold District

I come to this McDonald’s on a regular occasion and have for many years, until recently I considered this to be one of the best in the area however it seems lately that their overall quality has dwindled.

I shall start on a positive and say the staff I have encountered here are all very friendly, helpful and I have no discrepancies against them, however who and whatever kind of wild animals they have hidden in the kitchens preparing the food and piecing the orders together is a sure mystery!

The last few times I have been here and been through the drive thru I have had items missing on multiple occasions, or been sent to wait in one of the bays only to still be there 20 minutes later on a small order and when asking a staff member walking by if they had forgotten about our order, the food was quickly brought out almost cold and rather soggy.

This can all be forgiven though as I understand mistakes are made and it can be stressful when things get busy. But what happened to me today has no excuse! I went through the drive thru like normal, ordered my food and it came relatively quick, at this point I drove the short and sweet 5 minute journey to a friends house all while filled with joy over my supposed successful McDonald’s trip. Once making it inside my friends house I was proven wrong as I open my Big Mac box to find the top bun is MISSING!!!

I was outraged at the sloppiness and lack of care I had been treated with, I checked my bag and nothing in there, until my friend pulls the bun out of a separate bag! How on earth does this happen? Did they forget to put the bun on and just tossed it into a separate bag like some disregarded vermin? How this was allowed to happen is beyond me and I have been given no choice but to leave this review!

On the other hand I still ate the Big Mac after piecing it together like some sort of puzzle and although drier than a stale crumpet it wasn’t terrible by any means.

Had an amazing experience here this evening. Called earlier to advise it was my daughters 5th birthday & we were coming along for food for 6 hungry kids & a few parents. I asked if we were able to reserve seats? Although this wasn’t possible they did agree if I were to call back & confirm the time we’d be visiting they’d try to assist & they absolutely did. It was actually rather quiet so seating wasn’t actually an issue, however, a lovely lad called Will took our order at the table. Brought balloons for all the kids & said half way through the birthday girl was able to make her very own ice cream with toppings. I was blown away, never in all the years I have been visiting McD’s & this particular branch have I ever known of service quite like we had today! And to top it off, they actually allowed all the kids to make their own ice creams, 2 at a time! All staff were extremely smiley, kind and attentive. The lovely lady manager on shift this evening completely went over & above the call of duty as did her staff member Will & I’d like to thank them sincerely for making my daughters birthday an experience to remember! I honestly thought this kind of service had vanished entirely and certainly wouldn’t expect it from a fast food chain but I’m pleased to say my faith has been restored - there are those who still believe in ‘wow’ customer service! ...You did yourselves proud!...

I had a fantastic experience at mc donald. This is my first time visit. I’m greeted with a smile and receive quick and courteous service. The restaurant is always clean and well-organized, and the staff is attentive and helpful. The food is exactly what you expect: tasty, hot, and perfectly prepared. My favorites are the Mc crispy and the fries, always crispy and delicious. Even the coffee is surprisingly good, perfect for a quick break. I also love the wide variety on the menu, offering something for everyone, from classic burgers to lighter options like salads and wraps. All at a very affordable price, making it an excellent choice for a quick and satisfying meal. Additionally, I really appreciate the attention given to kids, with the Happy Meal menu never failing to please, complete with a toy. It’s always a pleasure to bring my family here, knowing that everyone will find something they love.
