We visited for opening day for this new Cafe / Restaurant on the edge of Cirencester Park. There were plenty of electric charging points in the car park and a nice gentle walk down to the courtyard where the cafe is situated along with a few other small businesses. There is loads of seating space outside and indoors, plenty of room for bikes and pushchairs and all dog friendly. For kids there is a indoor space with beanbags, books and soft toys for babies and toddlers whilst outside is a small playground with a slide and climbing equipment for older children (suitable for up to 8yrs). The cafe itself looks fantastic inside and out. The adults menu was small but clearly what was there was high quality, there were enough options for everyone in our group to pick something they liked. In addition there were specials and plenty of cakes / pastries etc. The kids menu was also small but again, our little one found something to choose. The staff were welcoming and friendly, experience start to finish was great. Highly recommended. A great addition to Cirencester Park, breathing life into what was formally a slightly run down and forgotten part of town.

We’ve had brunch and coffees there before and have enjoyed the experience. We visited last night and tried their dinner menu - we were not disappointed. We had the scotch egg and rosemary focaccia to start. The thyme flowers, and nasturtium leaves with the scotch egg were a new (tasty) experience. There was plenty of focaccia and would’ve been possible to share as a starter if I didn’t love bread! For mains we had the steak fritz and bangers and mash (the red onion gravy was so full of flavour). The steak was medium rare, and very tender. We shared an Eton mess for pudding which was also delicious. I had an autumn gin spritz, which was delicately flavoured. I don’t know the name of our servers last night but they were both attentive without being intrusive. Very happy to have this on our doorstep, and love that they grow their own food and try and source ingredients as locally as possible. Looking forward to coming back and trying their Sunday lunch!

We visited on a Saturday at a quiet time and the lady who served us on the till was really lovely and helpful. However, the flat white and chai latte were honestly undrinkable. We spent just under £10 on these and as baristas ourselves I understand it can be stressful but there was no queue and there was just no skill or care in making them. It’s a lot of money to spend on drinks for them to be that bad. We took the flat white back to add an extra shot to see if that helped which it didn’t and then we decided to bring the chai back as it was lukewarm with so much spicy chai. The manager was helpful but it’s clear the barista just didn’t care. Please train all of your baristas properly as last time we went it was lovely but won’t bother now as it’s too inconsistent not knowing who’s going to be making your coffee. Wouldn’t recommend getting takeaway drinks here at all.

We booked a table for Sunday lunch, leaving an online pre-order note on the reservation for 2 x vegetarian roasts.

Firstly - I want to say we both agreed that the food itself was different & delicious. There was an assortment of well prepared & beautifully presented plated food, with ample side dishes. We loved the way the swede was cooked in particular, and the seaweed wrapped leeks were unusual but really tasty. We ordered an additional cauliflower cheese to share - but probably didn't really need it. There was plenty of food all in all.

It was a shame that the meal was tainted with service and timing issues. We requested ample gravy on confirming our order, as inevitably we find that there is never enough wherever we go. The waitress informed us that the gravy had meat stock in. We requested a vegetarian gravy to accompany our meals for obvious reasons - whoever wants a roast dinner without gravy?

When our meal was served, there was no gravy. We had to ask twice for it and were told they were making it. It should come out with the food. When it arrived 10 minutes later - it was served in a jug the size of an egg cup, and only half filled - for 2 of us to share. We ordered more & waited again for this to be served. It wasn't a traditional veg gravy, more of a thin soup, but was pleasant all the same and saved us eating a dry Yorkshire pudding.

They also forgot the roast potatoes which we has to prompt them for. By the time the second order of gravy and roast potatoes came - we'd eaten half our meals.

They still put a £5 service charge on the bill which was pretty cheeky considering.

We still gave it a 9/10 as the food was worth it. We will go back - and hope that next time they'll have a ready made veg gravy served in sufficient quantity for 2 meals, and remember the...

We visited this restaurant last October and were reasonably impressed with the food although it was quite expensive for what it was but was infact receiving a 10% discount for visiting from the Caravan and Motorhome site. Our disappointment came when we checked the bill to find that they had infact put small increases on a few items to infact cover that discount. We queried thisvand they did rectify it. We returned last night as we were once again visiting from the caravan site where we were staying with friends. We weren't overly impressed with the small plates idea compared to their normal menu but ordered drinks and enjoyed the night together. However, to our absolute disgust small increases had been added to our drinks to the tune of £7. We queried this and was told he had made my cocktails as doubles(something he didn't ask me about beforehand) and I'm not sure how this affected the bottle of wine that he put an extra £2 on (a bottle that he recommended over the bottle my husband had chosen and offered it at the same price). He once again rectified the incorrect bill but left on the £22 gratuity fee even though the service hadn't been that great. It's such a shame because it's such a great facility so close to the caravan site but just be careful to check your receipts folks you're not getting the discount you...
