Greggs — Restaurant in Coventry

I am an army veteran and came into this store after recovering from COVID-19 whilst serving in Afghanistan. I was immediately greeted by a worker named Ella who was dressed in full drag. Was very impressed with the new uniform. Since Afghanistan, I’ve been hard of hearing and my ears cannot pick up high pitched noises. The worker, Ella, also seemed to have this issue so when the oven alarm for the sausage rolls went off, neither of us realised and the store quickly was engulfed in flames. Ella with her quick wit realised this and began basting me in her spit so as to protect me from the flames. Ella unfortunately passed away but she did leave me her greggs discount card so...

After ordering through Just Eat a couple of weeks ago where my order was marked as delivered but never actually showed up and after being unable to contact Just Eat I contacted this Greggs directly. I spoke to a lovely lady called Crystal who was very apologetic even though it wasn't their fault and arranged for me to pop in at a later time to get what I had ordered. On going to the shop to collect my food the lady that served me was extremely friendly and helpful. Food is delicious, but rarely stocked! I often have to go further afield to find what I want. Doesn't seem to matter what time of day I go. In fact I went this morning (Saturday) at 9:27 and it was closed! Younger staff completely ambivalent and not always present in the moment or coming down from the night before. Older staff better but still often miserable. Makes me wonder if their working conditions are poor. Manager needs to to meet with them all and check they are OK. Staff in other stores are...
