Went to the till- asked “what was in the tropical peach , it is just peach or in there other things “ -guy on the till just shrugged and looked at me like I asked a stupid question ( not being funny but if it’s a smoothie you might put juice, water or other fruits etc) . I then elaborated a lil because maybe he didn’t understand what I meant …. He still just shrugged with a bored attitude and said “I dunno peach ?” 😭 mate you work there, you’re supposed to know. I placed my sandwich and granola thing on the till to pay and he rang me up and basically said that’s you all done after I paid ……. I said “ can I have a spoon for my granola as one didn’t come with it and a bag , you haven’t offered me one? He then said “ you get spoons over there and if you want a bag I can give you one but most people don’t want one. ” that’s fine but it would have been nice to have told me where to get a spoon when you saw I would have needed one with my purchases, secondly don’t assume every customer is the same and that I’m going to carry a sandwich , pot and my drink in my hands to wherever I’m going, thirdly I get that this is a campus and you’re used to dealing with students etc but c’mon this is some basic knowledge and customer interaction stuff. I then asked” are you used to dealing with students” as a way to say I get most are fast paced etc and generally don’t care about customer satisfaction etc. he then said “ no I’m not a student” obvs didn’t hear me so I reiterated and he just looked at me blankly so I just moved to the side , said “dw bout it” and grabbed my drink - overall I probably wouldn’t come bk to...
Read moreJust popped in on my break from my strenuous job. Having had one of the worst days in a while with my wife leaving me for her personal trainer. However my day changed drastically when I interacted with one young man, a barista at this very pret. His name you may ask? Alexander Bho Forrest. This young man changed my life, blew me away simply words cannot comprehend the humility of this luscious lad. You may be put off at first with his creepy demeanour and greasy hair but he made the best coffe ever I have reached out to several local magazines and newspapers about this talented lad. If anyone deserves a raise it’s him. True passion and respect for the barista grind. Huge things to come. Thank you Alex for making my day....
Read moreVery slow staff. Some of them are rude. Always something wrong either they wont accept cash 1h before closing time because “they already counted the cash” (probably to finish earlier) or just randomly wont accept it for no reason. Or no iced drinks. Last time, after queuing for 15 minutes I was told “no iced drinks today”.As it was not the first time (more like the 10th time) I queue for nothing, I suggested that they write it on the door when they decide not to take cash or run out of something this way people don’t waste their time queuing for nothing. The girl with glasses waited until I reach the door on my way out to yell hysterically “have a nice day”. Very unprofessional. Maybe you should stop...
