Sizzle Spot Coventry — Restaurant in Coventry

I ordered a takeaway yesterday ( butter chicken, karahi, and lamb biryani). To be honest, I had pretty low expectations since I’d never heard of the place before, and in my experience, Coventry doesn’t really have any proper curry houses, especially not Pakistani ones.

I’m not sure if Sizzle Spot serves Pakistani cuisine, but it definitely tasted like it. The food arrived in a reasonable time and was piping hot, which was a great start.

None of us were particularly excited about getting a takeaway that night (again, Coventry’s usual options just don’t impress), but as soon as we opened the boxes, the aromas hit us, rich, fresh, and inviting. Everything looked authentic and carefully prepared.

And the taste was absolutely delicious. For the first time ever, all of us agreed on how good the food was. Each dish was full of flavour, and the spice level was just right. I’d asked for it to be made less spicy, and they nailed it enough heat to enjoy without overpowering the actual flavours.

Huge thanks to Sizzle Spot for such a lovely meal that genuinely tasted like home-cooked food. We’ll definitely be ordering again and hopefully next time we will be visiting the restaurant in person to explore more...

A very poor service with Sizzle Spot this evening. We have been regular customers for a few months now due to wonderful flavours of the food. However, we have been consistently disappointed that the orders arrive incorrectly every single time, mostly missing key components of the meal such as the rice. At times pre-empting the inaccuracy, I ring to double confirm the order before it is sent for delivery. Tonight, yet again the order arrived without the rice and Sizzle spot were unsupportive. We are now 30x minutes post delivery, with cold curry, and although promised, yet again a meal is left ruined and £60 down the drain. Sizzle spot employees were unwilling to support with anything other than new rice which is yet to arrive. Very disappointing and shockingly poor service. We will not...

Ordered and left a positive review on a delivery app, but I had so much butter chicken left over in the fridge I had some for lunch today which was absolutely delicious 2 days later warmed up, so I felt I had to leave a proper review!

My partner is quite the connoisseur when it comes to curries, and we've had many curries in Coventry that are completely disappointing - this certainly isn't one of them though. Everything has a rich colour, taste, meat is tender and tasty, poppadoms bubbly and fresh tasting, naan fluffy and clearly freshly made.

Honestly enjoyed it so much will definitely be going to dine in next time, if it was this good delivered I want to eat it at its best!
