Just touched down at Gatwick and decided to eat here over Wetherspoons in Gatwick. We were seated by what seemed like the manager (Spanish I believe). I reckon it was atleast 10-15mins (maybe even more as I went to the toilet then came back) till we were seen to and that’s only because I had to go to the bar and complain. We were told by the manager though that we would be seen to but I laughed it off and explained that the waiter just looked at us 3-4 times then did something else. Atleast ask we would like to drink?! The waiter from the bar took over the situation instead of the manager and saw to us straight away.
The drinks did take quite long to arrive but overall from then on the service was ok. Overall it costs us £47ish so we gave £50 in cash. The waiter (the one that ignored us the whole time) took the money and did not return the change. I did not confirm he could keep the change as I felt the service was not enough for a tip. We walked past the waiter who was now wiping a table, clearly not giving me my change back. My partner and I looked at each other and just laughed. We couldn’t be bothered anymore, especially after a flight. Pretty sure this experience put us off eating at Giraffe and next time would go to Weatherspoons.

Read moreWe approached the restaurant and noticed several vacant tables. After waiting for ten minutes, we politely asked multiple staff members to take our order, but they all ignored us actively. Eventually, we noticed a QR code on the table and used it to place our order. When the food arrived, a server called over two other employees. To our surprise, they accused us of being "unbelievably rude" customers for simply sitting down without prior permission. Apparently, this was not a walk-in restaurant, and we were expected to know this despite no signage or hints on the table. The situation escalated as the staff loudly insisted we leave and not order via QR code. The scene was ridicules since the food was already served and in front of us. All we could do was to remain calm and explain our situation, but they were relentless.
Ironically, only a portion of our order was delivered. Frustrated, we had to leave abruptly due to our impending flight. I never have written such a review before, but this experience compelled me to share it in detail. Your employees displayed unprofessional, rude and loud behavior in a completely simple situation....
Read moreA new experience for me and my wife. I’ve seen the Giraffe franchise in many cities I’ve visited but never actually tasted the food or had an experience. We were at Gatwick airport and had an option of Giraffe or Wetherspoon’s and we chose Giraffe. I was very, very surprised to say the least. We were welcomed in by the representative, even as we were viewing the menu outside. He was pleasant, polite and welcoming. We were seated at a table for 2. Our drinks order was taken and a colleague returned to take our food order. The Strawberry Daiquiri was beautiful as my chosen drink option. I then chose the Korean Chicken with fries, as something new for me. I was absolutely blown away. The Korean Chicken was incredible. I would definitely return, and I’d definitely recommend Giraffe if your in the area. The customer service is fantastic, the food is beautiful and the ambiance is welcoming and warm. 💯% worth the trip. Thank you for my first Giraffe experience 💫
