Having actually lived in South Korea for quite some time, I can tell you that the Korean items on the menu are incredibly different than how they should look or taste. It seems the food here is a combination of ALL countries in Asia in one bowl which is certainly how the “Hot Pot” tasted 👎🏻 The ramen was light in taste to the degree it had almost no taste at all. The noodles had definitely been boiled in plain water then added to the ramen broth. It shouldn’t be that way. The pulled pork gyozas tasted like hoisin duck inside so we were probably given the wrong ones. The minuscule bowl of kimchi was a side that we added on and definitely not worth the price. See pictured: I’m holding it for size comparison. (The kimchi tasted like it was made yesterday which means it’s fresh. I prefer fermented kimchi so I guess it’s all about taste preference) I asked for a side of sticky rice because unfortunately it didn’t already come with the “hot pot” although it should have, given the strength of the soup. I had to wait a long time and I’m certain they forgot. When I reminded them they finally served me the rice so I could finish the meal entirely. Unfortunately, the rice was not sticky rice. It was basmati rice that was incorrectly cooked in the rice cooker that I could see. It wasn’t actually how it should have been having been cooked in the rice cooker and the reason for this is that you don’t cook basmati rice in the same way you’d cook sticky rice. In the picture you can see in the bowl that it’s long grain rice and not short grain rice. Only short grain rice is used for sticky rice. There’s so many things that weren’t satisfactory. Total bill not worth £76. The only good thing is how particular they are about allergies. I have a peanut allergy so I went through the steps. If you have any allergies the manager will cook your dish separately from everyone else’s. Thank you for being so attentive to allergens...
Read moreWanted to grab a quick and easy dinner before a flight here and what a disaster it was! The food didn’t arrive for at least an hour (only because my flight was delayed was I even able to stay that long) and the organization was absolutely chaotic. I wasn’t the only one who had to wait forever and a lot of patrons seemed disgruntled. Some folks who had arrived after me got their meals way before me, even though I ordered a relatively simple and straightforward dish (Yaki Udon) without any modifications or special requests. There was no logic to it whatsoever. After around 45 minutes I was told that there was an issue with the ordering system and that they are preparing my order now… the service staff did everything they could and were friendly but clearly overwhelmed, which should not be the case at an airport location where every minute counts. The food itself was good in the end, the usual Wagamama standard, and they put it on the house. So at least...
