Greggs — Restaurant in Crawley

I went just to get a coffee from Greggs and ended up with the girl behind the till threatening to call the police on me! What a joke! I ordered a bacon roll with a regular coffee deal which cost £2.60. then it says upgrade to a baguette for an extra 85 p. Now if I'm correct that equals £3.45. now the staff was charging me £3.70 so I said the deal states that I can upgrade for an additional 85 pence on top of the £2.60 and I explained calmly that she was overcharging me but the girl was very rude and told me I'm wrong! Several times!Clearly this staff member has no math skill! She kept telling me I was wrong and in the end I said IL just pay the £3. 70 and be gone. Then I was stiring the disgusting coffee and the same staff member made a point to come over To me and again try to explain I was wrong and threaten to ban me like I give a dam! She also threatened to call the police claiming I was shouting when I could barly get a word over her rude voice! so I asked to see her manager who said "what do you want I'm busy"! Then both manager and staff member went on to abuse me telling me to get out getting in I'my face. Id like to note that the girl who kept saying I was wrong was that close I could smell her smelly smokers breath and she also looked very dirty which isn't good for a food establishment. So as she obviously felt embarrassed by being wrong she felt the need to be aggressive and rude. This is the worst customer service I have ever received and the most dirtiest Greggs IV ever seen! The manager needa a lesson on how to speak to customers and the staff need maths and social skills because she was telling me I was shouting being aggressive when I wasn't even speaking!! I love fresh baked goods of any kind and considering Gregg's is a massive chain the range and quality of food is staggeringly good and all of their stores in my experience are almost clinically clean. The majority of the staff are exemplary but can be a bit hit and miss in some locations and I intend to pay more attention about this detail in the future and report my findings as I must admit it's not something I've payed much attention to so far and only mentioned it because we have had a couple of indifferent visits where staff weren't very helpful or friendly recently. I should stress that I'm talking about all of the Gregg's we have been to not specifically this one mainly because I can't remember how the staff were here but I will be checking here again shortly and amend...

Went there at 5pm today 21/05/2024 and they have an hour till they close they had told me they turned off the oven to toast our sandwiches? This seems obscured to me - an hour left and they turn it off? Seems silly to me and the woman behind the counter seemed to have an attitude on her too, An hour before they close they should not have it off they should still be open and serving customers🤣 This seems crazy to me.
