I'd like to give this place one star for one reason and one reason only: it's nowhere near where I live (in fact, unless you happen to be in Gossops Green it's not very close to anything). For everything else it gets five stars and for one reason and one reason only: it's not possible to give any more stars! The menu is a laminated sheet of A4 - just like it should be: don't be fooled by the lack of leather-bound ostentatiousness: There is a plenty to choose from (both veggie and not, though also not halal) and I wish I could have eaten more. Because... the food is divine. Possibly the best Indian (technically, Punjabi) food I've had, if not ever at least for a very long time. The poppadums were faultless followed by a chicken tikka masala (cooked to your choice of spiciness, in my case hot; it wasn't too hot, and the flavours are immense!) With a plain naan. All washed down with a Tusker beer (but they have others; in fact the drinks menu is impressive, including cocktails). I shouldn't have had it, but I couldn't resist: the kulfi to end was as sublime as the main food. Perfection. And the Mukhwas / Sua Dhana was a nice touch! Staff were absolutely brilliant, toilets clean, portions decent (but you can have take away boxes if you don't finish) and prices very good indeed (less than a tenner for a main dish). I'd definitely come back.. had it not been so far away from -well- anywhere but Gossops Green!

Wow — this place is absolutely incredible! My family and I (group of 4) are staying one night in Crawley for a layover out of Gatwick to California and were looking for some good authentic Indian food for our last meal in England. Kitchen Royale was definitely the best choice we could have made! Even though the place was packed, we were seated quickly and treated with the greatest kindness by all the staff. Every employee was extremely friendly, kind, and provided excellent service. The food was one of the best I’ve experienced, each of our dishes were amazing (veg samosas, lamb samosas, mild chicken tikka masala, extra spicy chicken tikka masala, medium chicken methi, spicy chana aloo, garlic naan). The spicy and extra spicy dishes were definitely the hottest foods we’ve had in England and the taste was phenomenal. This restaurant alone is enough to make us miss England. It deserves way more than 5 stars — we highly recommend it!

Stopped here for dinner on a Friday en route to Gatwick. We tried to ring ahead to book a table but the restaurant wasn't open and on arrival, we were told they were fully booked for the evening. However, the kind lady who co owns the place kindly found us a table eventually to everyone's relief. The place appeared to be very popular with Indian families (pointing to the authenticity of the cuisine). The food didn't disappoint- the taste was exceptional, portions generous and, last but not the least, the service prompt and very friendly. Unquestionably one of the best and truly Indian restaurants in these parts!

I read a lot of reviews but I rarely write one (I know, I'm one of those). I absolutely had to write a review of this place though- it is the best AUTHENTIC Indian food I have ever had. My husband and I travel frequently and we have tried Indian food all around the world. This little gem put them all to shame. The lamb positively melted in my mouth, the curry was perfect, the naan was pillowy and scrumptious. There were no al dente onions or sickly sweet sauces to be found (my personal pet peeves). Nothing was oily and everything was seasoned to perfection.

Not only was the food absolutely mind blowing, the service exceeded my wildest expectations. My husband has several food allergies and the staff took time to listen and understand exactly what was necessary to safely cook for him. The service here was better than we've received at michelin starred restaurants. Eating at Kitchen Royale Crawley was a wonderful experience and we will be back as soon as we are in the UK again. Please don't change anything-...
