While a little off the beaten track, it is worth (like I did) the special effort to visit: this is a brilliant little gem in Crawley. It is what can only be described as forces / veteran friendly, evident in the flags and memorabilia, its support for AF/V charities, and the patrons. But more than that, it has open mic nights, live music, karaoke nights, disco nights, quiz nights, locals (and 'old boys')... all you'd expect from a proper boozer. Talking about expecting, the toilets were far cleaner than expected! What else? Read moreThe Swan is one of the last few decent pubs remaining. It has a fantastic range of alcohol, and alcohol free beverages too. There's live music on every Friday and Saturday night. They run a quiz night on Wednesdays, an open mic every other Tuesday. I can attest that Roast dinner on a Sunday is to die for, and Val is usually heavily booked for this. It's in a great location for persons out of Crawley too - a scant 5 minute walk from the station. The staff team are incredibly friendly, and work hard to make it feel like home to any wanderer who may find themselves here. Great log fire as well for cold winter afternoons.
