On New Years Eve, my wife and I were waiting for a friend whose plane was delayed. We went for a quick lunch at Joe's Coffee House, as it didn't seem busy when everywhere else was. Now I know why. We ordered 2 jacket potatoes, one with cheese the other with salad, a cappuccino and a mint tea. The person at the counter could not seem to understand that we wanted mint tea, not english, and kept trying to register both english and mint tea, when there were clearly just two of us. When the potatoes arrived, there was little cheese on mine, and no butter provided or even available. Much more to the point, a significant proportion of the salad leaves on the other were actually rotten, just green slime. When this was pointed out to the staff, and then the manager, he just shrugged his shoulders, as if this was an everyday occurence [perhaps it is, it might explain the lack of customers], and said ''sorry''. That was it. No offer to replace it, no offer of refund. Do NOT go there. If I could give minus stars I would. Oh, and on checking the bill just now for the address I found that we were charged for an apple we...
Read moreThis is diabolical. I waited over 20 minutes for an order that was due to be ready within 6-10 minutes, before eventually having to abandon it.
It turned out the branch wasn’t open at the published time and there was no clarity over when it would.
Eventually when the branch opened at a slightly random 6.20am the staff were ignorant and clueless. I asked how long my order would be and they said they were working on it immediately. Over 5 mins later it still wasn’t ready and a member of staff had just left the bread for my sandwich on the side whilst she went to have a chat. With a flight to catch I had to leave it having already paid.
This is disgraceful service in an airport where you simply cannot wait so long for food. If you are not open, make that clear and do not accept orders / provide a false...
Read moreSlowest service ever, literally watched someone stop halfway through making my sandwich to chat to their colleague about what song to put on. Fine if it was like 30 seconds but the guy and girl were having a full blown conversation right next to the unfinished sandwich. Like dude at least make my sandwich at the same time.
The guy then proceeded to play the song at full volume which looking at other reviews seem to be a recurring problem. A part of me found him playing “smack that” loudly funny another part thought that it’s way too early in the day for this.
Food and drink tasted nice though so there’s a star.
I’m an advocate for staff to have fun at work, you don’t get being paid enough for what you do, I get it because I’ve been in that position but dude at least take care of the...
