Mama's UK Kitchen — Restaurant in Crawley

Ordered some food from this restaurant because we were staying a few nights in Crawley and saw that it had good reviews. We ordered 1 Tarka Daal and 2 Plain Naans. We thought the minimum charge for delivery was £15 so this is what we ordered. We stayed at the Premier Inn London Gatwick Airport South (London Road) Hotel. The restaurant then rang us to say they couldn't deliver because they thought we were in Gatwick Airport and to get there you have to go through the ULEZ zone and their drivers have to pay. We weren't in Gatwick however that's just the hotel's name. We had to reassure the driver that we weren't in Gatwick and we were just in a Premier Inn Gatwick Hotel. The driver eventually arrived with the food and it cost £9 and we would've ordered less food if this hassle didn't happen and if we also knew that we didn't have to pay £15 minimum for delivery. The Tarka Daal was okay and the Plain Naans were average. Overall I wouldn't recommend...

Tried for the 1st time on xmas eve as we wanted to treat my mum to a takeaway as we were not seeing her as usual on xmas day. Very impressed with the service, 1st class. When the food arrived it was well presented and tasted amazing. We've always used the same 2 Indian takeaways and had to travel, this one is literally on our door step. Always wary about trying something new and having the unknown, how ever so glad we did as we have again ordered tonight and it was just as yummy. No coconut rice on the menu, however my husband asked and they said they could make it. Nothing is too much trouble. It was absolutely wonderful. Myself and my family have been under the weather during the pandemic and I stated this in a note to the restaurant. Not only did the food come incredibly quickly, it was cheap, so delicious and I found that in my order they had not only given me some extra poppadum's and mango chutney, but they had also written a lovely note on the bag - which I've attached here.
