I have travelled the world, been to multiple Nandos... Even in Africa, yet, I was met by a very arrogant Ari. I queued for about 10min in order to be met by a very unpleasant Ari. Instead of apologising for the long wait, she was like 'What can I get you? In the most unengaging tone that's ever served me. Firstly, it was an issue with my NHS badge. I'd forgotten it in the car, which I had struggled to find parking for, and was on the other end of the retail park. Despite trying to plead with her to process the order& I'd go fetch it when I'm picking my elderly parents up from the restaurant, she wouldn't hear any of it. I had to walk back to the car, return 10min later, and queue up again, only to be met by the same Ari that hadn't even improved on her attitude (talk about my lucky day) I eventually ordered and it felt as if she was doing me a favour and I was a beggar. The way she spoke to me, as demeaning as it seemed, I persevered through the order. Secondly, she was doing her best to speak to me like some peasant that has no business being at that restaurant, not forgetting arguing with me about making 2 separate orders that needed 2 separate receipts and codes as the other order was for my elderly mother. By the time the food came, personally I had lost my appetite, and because of the delay in the whole process, my stepdad needed to go take his meds, so our stay was cut really short. I work with people, and people skills are necessary. She could learn a thing or two from Zamir, who was very kind and engaging. I would suggest further training for her, to improve on her interpersonal skills and not spoil the good name of the restaurant chain. One thing for certain, I'm not going back to that place, I will not have someone treat me like that whilst I'm paying for a service. Ari, food for thought, IN A WORLD WHERE YOU CAN BE...
Read moreOn January 15th I decided to celebrate my husband's birthday at Nandos. I have always liked the quality of food at this restaurant. This time the experience was disappointing. Upon entering the restaurant I ordered my food and drinks as usual, I could feel that I was dying of cold, the floor staff was working with a jumper's, which makes me think that the heating was not working. I got up to get a coke and the taste was horrible, I decided to drink Fanta and it was worse, a staff member came over to apologize and immediately changed the syrup. Up to that point everything was fine, accidents happen. When my food arrived at the table it was even worse. The only thing I could enjoy was the Hallumi. The hummus bread was dry or reheated. The chicken had a strong vinegar taste, the rice was cold. I didn't want to complain since I imagine they have new staff working, however it annoyed me to pay almost 40 pounds for a dish that I didn't eat and on such a special day for my husband birthday. I am not making this comment looking for some benefit or free food because I could have asked for my money back and I did not, I just got up and went to the restaurant next door, I make this comment looking for solutions, I saw many new faces because I am a regular customer of this place and I think the staff did not have the necessary training to be able to maintain the standard quality and taste of the food. I feel very disappointed, I hope they will be what they...
Read moreNo it's not a Michelin starred restaurant but it was excellent. From arrival to leaving, excellent. I haven't been to any Nandos before but I will be going again. We were greeted by a friendly host who I believe was the manager. Seated quickly, although we did move , only to a bigger table. It's not table service so you are given menus and you order at the counter. The menu was extensive but easy to navigate so we were quick. I had two separate vouchers and a discount card to use, and then I had to add cash, but the waitress was not thrown or annoyed by that. She just calmly took our order . You then collect your own cutlery , napkins and sauces and then fill your own drinks and sit down . Don't take too long otherwise your food will arrive at the table before you do . It's that quick. One of our party went to the loo and her food was on the table before she sat down . As I said don't expect gourmet dining. However what I had was excellent. It was hot , plentiful and tasty . You can choose how spicy you have your food and there is a huge array of extra spicy sauces you can add . The staff are attentive after service and I can't fault it . Busy but not too noisy, music not too loud either. All in all a very good experience. I shall be going again . We'll...
